If you looked at the girl standing in front of the empire state building, you wouldn't see anything out of ordinary. Even if you tried looking closer you would still see nothing because this girl was normal, to mortals at least. To demigods, monsters, gods and anyone who could see through the mist, she was about as normal as Valhalla was to Magnus Chase or magic was to Sadie and Carter Cane. (But those are stories for another book)

Of course, there was nothing wired about the girl's appearance. She was 5ft 7in and skinny, and I should know I'm that girl.

Greetings reader my name is These Apollo and I'm wanted in twenty-three different states, realms and let's just say I have an "I hate These" club with annual meetings and its own merch.

Obviously, not everyone hates me. I actually have friends, four of them, but I very rarely see them because all of their friends hate me. The first friend I ever made was a girl named Annabeth Chase. I met her when she was on the run with her friends. She was trying to steal some food and as a fellow runner, I decided to help her steal it. We talked a bit and I got to meet her friends Thalia Grace and Luke Castellan, more on them later. We went our separate ways and after years of not hearing anything from her, the fates decided to intertwine our fate in the strangest way possible.

It happened when I was captured by a satyr. He jumped me at the motel I was staying at and naturally as a high wired demigod, I put up a fight. Unfortunately, the satyr won and dragged me away, bleating about how demigods never gave a fight in his day and how these Ares kids were so difficult. Anyway, I was dragged to this camp called Camp Halfblood and I was not happy. If anyone found out who I truly was, well that would mean a world of hurt was waiting for me in that camp.

Anyway as I'm being dragged to a big red barn I suddenly hear someone call out my name.

"These? Is that you?" I look over and to my surprise, I saw my old friend Annabeth Chase! I tore myself from the grip of the satyr and ran up to Annabeth giving her a huge hug.

"Annabeth is that you? Oh my god, its been too long! how are you? How are Luke and Thalia?" At the mention of her friends, Annabeth flinched. "What's wrong?" I asked her with a worried expression because, even though I may seem tough, I'm a total Hufflepuff at heart.

" I have a lot to tell you"
