Mine

'Footsteps echo in a dark, wet hallway

Whilst heavy rain pours outside

A flash of lightning before a rush of thunder.'

As I lay upon the silver and green divan,

I can't help the rush of excitement that runs through my veins

She is running from me again

Though I am a little disappointed

She thinks she can run from me

Why, the idea is laughable

It's ludicrous

She is Mine. I own her. She is Mine.

I decide to give her some time to run

After all, getting her hopes up is half the fun

A blissful sigh escapes my lips as I hear her scream

It is a beautiful sound. Almost as beautiful as her

Sometimes I can't believe she is mine

She is so perfect, like an angel

My Angel

I bask in her innocence

I take joy in her pain

She is Mine

My Angel, My love

So why does she constantly fight that?

Why does she run?

I love her, my one and only angel

I will give her whatever she desires

I'd give her the world if only she'd ask

But, of course, she is too pure

She has no selfish desires

I smile as I think of her

Her long brown hair that cascades down her back in tight curls

Her light hazel green eyes that seem hopeful but afflicted

Whenever I see her I become entranced by her beauty

A beauty she does not even realize she has

Her modesty always amazes me

I bask in her innocence

I take joy in her pain

She is Mine

My Angel, My love

I take my time getting up

Whistling a tune that I know she loves

As I walk down the long, dark hallways I listen for sobs

I search for the metallic scent of blood

I hope she has not already fainted

There would be no fun in that

Another scream, this one raspy and harsh

As I turn a corner I see a trail of blood smeared on the floor

I smirk

I've found her. She is Mine

I bask in her innocence

I take joy in her pain

She is Mine

My Angel, My love

In front of me, a pathetic sobbing heap on the ground

I am still enthralled by her beauty

A beauty she doesn't know she has

She doesn't turn around to face me but I know that she can feel my presence

It's almost as if I can hear her heart beat stop and then quicken

My smirk widens

Her dark green dress is soaked with water and blood

Her lightly tanned skin marred by the various cuts and dried blood

Tears continue to fall from her gorgeous hazel eyes

She is beautiful. She is Mine.

I bask in her innocence

I take joy in her pain

She is Mine

My Angel, My love

I slowly step closer to her

Her muscles tense up as I bend down to pick her up

My white dress shirt quickly soaks up some of the blood

I do not care, I have many

She is much more important to me anyway

Why doesn't she realize this?

She thinks I'm a monster

Perhaps I am

I bask in her innocence

I take joy in her pain

She is Mine

My Angel, My love

"You are Mine," I whisper softly into her ear

She will never escape me, no matter how many times she tries

She is Mine, in life and death

I will always find her

"You are mine"

She is Mine

I bask in her innocence

I take joy in her pain

"You are Mine"

And I am yours
