"I want chocolate!"
Amy turned to her ten-year-old brother.
"Dan, you know that you can't eat sugar."
Dan was furious with his sister. Why couldn't he eat chocolate? He knew what he does when he eats sugar… Dan didn't care though.
"Sorry, but I want chocolate."
"Dan, YOU CAN'T EAT IT!"
"What's going on here?" asked a healthy and younger Grace.
"Grace, Amy doesn't want to give me chocolate!"
Grace looked at Amy.
"Why, sweetie?"
"Because he can't have sugar! You know how he acts when he eats it."
Oh, I know… Grace thought.
"Sorry Dan, you cannot eat chocolate."
Nice, now everybody is against me.Dan thought while sighing.
"Come on! Only this time!"
Grace thought for a moment.
"Okay, but only this time."
Dan gave a big hug on Grace.
"You are the best!"
A smile appeared at Grace's lips.
Dan ran to the kitchen. After a while, Amy asked:
"Grace, why did you let him eat sugar?"
Grace gave a sad smile this time.
"Amy… I really don't know."
Amy muttered an okay and left Grace alone at the room.
"Oh, if they knew… I'm going to miss their fights…"
After letting the sentence flew in the room, she left it, wondering how long she'd have to pretend she didn't know anything. Even a simple permission.
