Jason stood there and watched as his sister pulled the spear out of her chest and fell to the ground in Katniss's arms. He watched the screen show the life slowly draining out of his sister's face.

He couldn't watch it anymore. He immediately turned away from the screen. He wanted to remember his sister's face with the smile that lit up the darkest room in District 11.

Right when he was about to walk away, he heard his name.

"Jason." Rue said.

Jason turned to see Katniss holding Rue and cradling her like a baby.

"What?" Katniss asked.

"Tell Jason…s…not…his fault. Please." Rue said.

Katniss nodded and cried until Rue finally succumbed to her wounds with a smile on her face.

Jason couldn't watch anymore and ran. He kept running until he reached his home in the Victor's Village on the edge of District 11. He slammed the door open and closed it, ran to his room, and slammed the door before sliding down the door and finally letting the tears run down his face. He curled his knees to his body and hugged them while crying in front of the window where the full moon lit the town's riot in the square.
