It started out as a normal vamp hunt in Bull Shoals, Arkansas, a quiet little town with little activity until now. The brothers drove down the night before from Bobbys house.
"We should get going soon, the sun's almost up," Sam packed their bags with dead mans blood and machetes.
"Fine," Dean grumbled as he sat up in bed. He had a killer headache and his stomach was feeling a little more than jumpy; not that he would tell Sam.
"Hey are you feeling alright?" Sam stared at Dean wobble out of bed, but Dean just shook his hand out to say he was fine. Sam rolled his eyes as he went out to the car and put the bags in the trunk.
"Hey Dean when we get back we need to head to Ellens pla...", Sam walked back into the room to find Dean sprawled on the floor, barely moving.
"Holy crap Dean!" Sam ran to Deans side, who was now convulsing on the floor. Dean grabbed onto Sams arms and held himself up as he coughed and choked. Red specks covered his mouth with each cough as he tried to speak but no words would come out.
"Im sorry Dean I don't know what to do! I'm calling 911," Sam propped Deans head up with a pillow to keep him from choking on the blood, then ran out get his cell from the Impala. He already dialed and started talking by the time he came back into the room.
"Yeah he's coughing up blood and he's not really breathing!" Sam sputtered out, unable to stop himself so the operator could understand.
"Ok sir there is an ambulance on the way. Just keep him sitting upright and try to get some water into him.."
He hung up and grabbed water then rushed back to Dean, who was having a harder time breathing by the minute. Sam held Dean up as he dribbled water into his blood filled mouth, but most dribbled out onto his shirt.
"Dean stay with me, the ambulance is almost here. Dean stay awake come on.." Sam pleased as he saw Deans eyes opened more slowly each time he blinked, his breath slowed to where is was barely noticeable.
The sirens sounded out front and Sam sighed with relief as he opened the door to let everyone in. Next thing Sam knew, people were surrounding his brother, putting him on a stretcher with a mask over his face.
"I need to be with him!" Sam yelled through all the commotion, trying to reach his struggling brother before they left.
"Sir please calm down. We don't have enough room in the ambulance but you can follow from behind. We are going to North Crest Emergency in case you get lost. We will see you there." She then left abruptly and he rushed out to follow. Sam rushed into the car and started following almost to close behind the ambulance.
"I'm coming Dean..It's going to be okay," Sam whispered, a stray tear ran down his cheek.
To be continued...
