Kim Possible and the Unknown School.

Kim Possible awoke to a bright ray of sunshine peeking through the curtains. Under her long mop of tousled red hair lay a young man with messy blonde hair in a pair of greenish-blue pajamas. Kim rose silently, being sure not wake her human pillow. She stood up and stretched, working out the kinks and pops in her neck and other places. Clad in her preferred night clothes of a purple tank-top with green heart over the chest and lilac sweatpants, she padded her way to the bathroom down the hall. It had been a pleasant sleepover she decided as she took care of morning business.

She had thoroughly enjoyed trouncing Ron in Zombie Madness last night and then staying up until all hours of the night talking about anything and everything from why Bonnie Rockwaller was always so mean to everyone (Kim thought she was just wired that way; Ron had refused to accept this theory as he had always believed that there was good in every person and sometimes you just had to dig for it) to the stages of puberty that seemed to have finally taken hold of Kim and Ron, Ron showing off his underarm hair and pubes and Kim giving Ron a view of her budding breasts. With anyone else, this part of the conversation would have been a taboo topic, but Kim and Ron had been best friends since Preschool and could find no reason not to share this part of their lives with each other.

She walked back to her loft and found Ron in the last stages of getting dressed. She watched silently as he changed out of his pajamas and into his usual tan cargos, black long-sleeve and red jersey. "Ahem," she said loudly. Ron jumped and whirled around.

Geez, KP, give a guy a heart attack," he said with a smile, which quickly changed into a frown as something clicked in his head. "Wait, how long have you been standing there?" he asked, eyes narrowed.

"Long enough to see your cute butt, Stoppable," she said with a smirk as she walked in and laid her toiletries on her desk.

Ron mimicked Rodney Dangerfield. "No respect."

"You know you'll always have mine," Kim assured him. "Now, come on, let's get down to breakfast."

"A bit late for breakfast, isn't it, KP?" Ron said, looking at the bedside clock that read a quarter til eleven.

"Not for you, Ron Stoppable. This is about normal for you, right?" Kim smiled again.

Ron just smiled back. "You got me there, KP." He really liked Kim's smile. It was always really pretty.

Down in the kitchen, Mrs. Dr. Andrea Possible sat sipping her coffee and waiting for her daughter and surrogate son to come down.

"Morning, Mom," Kim said as she headed for the cereal shelf.

"Morning, Kimmie. Sleep well?" She smirked as she said this. She had seen the looks Kim and Ron had been giving each other over the past few months. She knew what time of their lives this was and had been expecting and frankly hoping that this would happen, but she shouldn't get her hopes up. A lot could happen between now and then.

Kim answered with a noncommittal "Yeah, mom." After seeing the look of slight disappointment in her mother's eyes, she added, "Ron's chest makes a great pillow." Andrea brightened a bit at this and simply beamed at Ron as he entered, giving his customary "Morning, Mrs. Dr. P. How are we doing on this bon-diggity day?"

Andrea could do naught but smile at Ron's unflappable, shining demeanor. He always seemed to brighten up the room with his indefatigably buoyant mood. Of course, he was only human and could be depressed and moody like anyone else, but she had only rarely ever seen this side of him and most definitely liked him better like this.

"Ron, I'll dance at yours and Kim's wedding if you'll go get the mail for me," she said with a bright smile as she knew what that statement would elicit.

"MOM! Don't say stuff like that! Ron and I aren't going to get married." Kim yelled, blushing as red as her hair. She didn't catch the note of hurt in Ron's voice as he said he'd be back in a sec.

"Kimmie, that was a bit tactless." Andrea admonished her daughter.

"What?" Kim asked between bites of Cocoa Puffs.

"You shouldn't have said it like that. I know marriage is a long way off for a pair of eleven-year-olds, but you shouldn't have made it seem like an impossibility. You never know who the one for you might be."

Kim's face darkened considerably as she considered what she had said. She swallowed and said, "You're right, mom. That was thoughtless. I'll apologize when Ron comes back."

Ron returned minutes later with a large handful of letters, bills, and credit card applications. "Here we go, Mrs. Dr. P, one handful of mail, duly delivered."

Kim got to her feet before Ron could move away, "Ron, listen, what I said before, that was stupid of me and I'm sorry I said it…"

"It's ok, KP, I know we're a long way off from getting married, and anything can happen. You know I just want you to be happy." Kim hugged her best friend tightly; he returned the gesture in equal measure.

"We'll always be tight, Ron. You know that." She said as she released him.

"Yeah, KP," Ron said, his voice cracking just slightly. He cast around for a change of topic, "Hey, you got a letter, all official looking and everything." He held up a small letter with green ink on the front. It was addressed to:

Ms. Kimberly Ann Possible

The Attic Loft

5670 Schooley Street

Middleton, CO 80123

The United States

Kim wondered how they knew where she slept. She turned the letter over and saw an old style wax seal with a big 'H' in the center. On the top flap was the same capital 'H' surrounded by four animals, each set against a different color backdrop, a red lion, a yellow badger, a blue raven, and a green snake. The only other word she found was "Hogwarts", which she was sure was not a word at all.
