A/N: The world can always use a little Salex.
He's frustrated with her. She could tell. He hardly said two words to her when they got home. By the time she'd gotten out of the shower, he was undressed and under the covers by the time she got out. He was on his side, back turned to the door, eyes shut tightly. So tight that it was unnatural, leading Alex to believe that there was no earthly way he was sleeping. Nope. He was ignoring her.
She sighed, crawling into the bed and lying beside him. Trying to sleep. Except she'd grown accustomed to falling asleep in his arms. And without them about her, the bed seemed awfully uncomfortable. She sighed and sat up in the bed. She turned and grabbed his shoulder, pulling him to lie flat on his back. He opened his eyes, not even bothering to pretend he'd been asleep.
"You wanna know why I didn't want to tell you about the butterfly tattoo? It's not because I don't trust you enough to open up, or that I don't really want you to know me. I'm damaged goods, Sean. There's nothing remotely normal about me, but when I'm with you...sometimes I feel like it. Like a normal couple, finding their way. You deserve that. You're a great guy, who should be in a normal relationship, with a normal girl. And I'm trying to give that to you, because if I can't...then I'm going to need to let you go. Because I care about you too much. So can we just pretend that I was a party girl who got a damn butterfly tattoo when I was drunk and out with my friends one night?" And with a sigh she fell back onto the bed, turning her back to him, and pulling the covers over top of her.
A few moments passed with complete silence. Then she felt a strong arms swing about her and pull her over. She was drawn into his chest as warm lips descended on hers. His lips were passionate and frantic, and when he finally pulled away, she was left breathless. She looked up at Sean, slightly confused. He tucked a piece of hair behind her ear.
"You are incredible. Don't ever forget that. You are amazing. And that's all I ever need. You. I don't want a normal girl. I want Alexandra Udinov, I want Alex. I want every crazy thing that came with her history, and I want to know it all. You fascinate me, and I want the type of intimacy that every couple in their right mind would be jealous of, because we just know each other that well."
She laughed, a stray tear making its way down her cheek.
"I think I can help you with that."
