Disclaimer: As much as I wish I could say I own Vampire Hunter D, I don't. Only this wish fulfillment fanfiction of what shou- could have happened. Le sigh…
Summary: After realizing the tragedy of her fate, Lina finds solace in D. D/Lina
Scarce an hour had passed since Lina was physically entangled with one person, only to find herself lost in another's flesh. The carnal urge to breed and bring more bastard Nobility into the world fell to the wayside, replaced by the need to forget. The need to feel cared for, no matter how temporary or false the pretense was.
It was the first time she felt like she could say someone had made love to her and focused on giving her pleasure, rather than use her body just to feed their own satisfaction. She never assumed D to be the type to treat her like fragile china even in the throes of passion, as fitting as it was, nor did she assume his complacency. Brown doe eyes glassy with the threat of tears and a raw whisper of, "Help me, D," was all it took to make him submit to her will. In the span of a few heartbeats, he ensnared her pale rose lips. In a few more, she had knocked off his hat and his deft hands sought to find the fastenings of her dress.
Normally, the dhampir would have refused, but she somehow cast this unyielding spell on him that even Doris couldn't compare to, and the cursed half of his lineage made him feel part at fault for the girl's present situation. It was another's debt he felt responsible to pay for.
His name fell from her lips in a needy mantra, at times as a moan and at times, cracking as she came near tears. As much as she needed to be sheltered by euphoric oblivion, it wasn't enough to entirely eliminate her thoughts of things yet to come, even when she met her release. It was over too soon and in his sympathy, when her tears finally spilled in hot rivulets down her cheeks, he brushed them away with a slender thumb.
They rolled on their sides, he still buried between her long legs, and she repeated to him, "I could hate you…"
He offered no word of reply, only sifted his fingers through her dark hair and once her sobs softened to periodic hiccups, he began to move again. His focus was her, not his own gratification, and he would not stop until she at last obtained the peace she asked of him. His efforts were rewarded soon after with pleased, airy sighs. Her calamity was banished from the forefront of her mind and her world narrowed down to the dhampir within her.
When it was all over, she didn't expect him to stay entwined with her on the floor, but she was grateful that he did. His presence was a comfort to her, even if its double-edged nature reminded her that eventually, he would be gone.
And come tomorrow, so would she.
You have no idea how long I've been wanting to write this. I needed to get this out! Not only does my perverse mind wish D and Lina made naughty in the book (a lot of naughty), but I also feel really bad that she'd been given this shit lot in life and I wanted to just throw in something that's (on some level) positive before she met her end.
And I really feel that D totally would've boned Lina had she asked him.
But anyways, I hope you enjoyed reading and please leave a review. It would put much happiness in my cute little heart. :)
