Chapter 1: Meeting The Dragon
"Erza, we can't afford to be missing training, the Grand Martial Arts Games is in 4 months! We need to be as prepared as possible!" A female voice with a soft tone, yet with dominance within it, spoke up with frustration evident in her words. Walking along the side of a stone fountain that had water showering out from the mouth of a elegant fairy, a teenage girl that had purple hair that went down to her mid-back, hazel eyes and tanned complexion blessing her facial beauty. Wearing a Fiore Academy uniform, hugging her beautifully slim figure, that had a scarlet jacket and skirt that reached down to her mid thigh, a white dress shirt underneath that was visible till the jacket cut the view at the middle of her large bust, hugging the firm mounds tightly, a scarlet tie around the dress shirt's collar.
"I know, and I'm sorry for this, Kagura. But I can't just ignore my mother when she's ill. I promise I'll make it up to you as soon as she's better.. okay?" Another female spoke on the other end of a celluar device that was to Kagura's right ear, held up by her right arm while her left arm held her book bag by her hip, stopping at the fountain as she needed to compose herselfHearing Erza speak in a manner that was really hoping for her to understand Erza's situation was enough to bring her out of her frustration. Being in a rational mind for a moment allowed Kagura to understand how insensitive and immature she was being towards her friend who clearly had more urgent matters to tend to.
Kagura took a deep breath to ease herself before letting out a sigh and slowly sitting down along the fountain, closing her eyes. The pleasant sounds of the water showering from the fairy statue behind her provided support in easing her stress. Her eyes opening once again. "No, you're right. I'm sorry Erza.. It's just.. I just want all our hard work to pay off. Also hoped I'd have someone to spar with. The others couldn't make it as well. So I'll be on my own.." Kagura finished with a frown etching onto her lip, not looking forward to having to train alone, slightly slouching momentarily at the thought before sitting straight again. She just never learned as much without having one of her fellow club members to train with her.
"I'm sure they all had their reasons Kagura, we still have 4 month's time before the tournament begins, I'm preetty sure we'll have plenty of time to get enough training in. So relax. Alright, I have to go now, coming up on my house now. Again.. I'm sorry Kagura. I'll talk to you later." Erza spoke in an apologetic tone.
"It's alright, tell Aunt Irene I said get well soon for me, please?" Kagura replied with a small smile flashing on her lips.
"I'm sure she'll appreciate the concern. I'll see you tomorrow, Kagura." "See you, Erza." The girls exchanged their goodbyes before hanging up their phones. Kagura placing her phone in a side pocket of her bookbag, letting out another depressed sigh. "Looks like I'm really on my own today." Kagura thought as she turned her body around enough to look at her reflection in the clear water behind her. Only looking for a moment, she closed her eyes before taking a breath and getting back to walking to Fiore Academy's Martial Arts club dojo building that was located at one corner of the academy's large campus grounds.
Kagura walked into the tradional japanese style building with her disappointment still plastered on her face. Her intended destination was to the dojo's changing rooms to get equipped into her training attire, having to walk past the large training room's sliding doors to get there. As she was walking past, she noticed the door was slid open a crack, her brow lifted as curiousity replaced her disappointed expression. "Did someone forget to clo-" Kagura's thoughts were interrupted when suddenly she began to hear a male's grunts of combat began to echo within the training room. Her eyes widened as she jumped a little at the sudden noises, her heart beating from the fright of it. "Someone's here! N-No one's supposed to be here!" She thought anxiously.
Kagura gulped as she decided to peek on the intruder, curious to who was making the noises before she were to advise the person to stop.
When she peeked between the crack, her eyes slowly widened again, not in fear this time.. but in amazement.
Inside was a Onyx eyed, spiky pink haired boy that was currently throwing a flurry of punches and kicks at the air at the center of the room. The boy had a slim, yet muscular build that was currently drenched in sweat. His being bearing a tanned complexion. He was wearing nothing but a pair of baggy white pants that was tightened with black rings around the ankles, so his impressive upper body was in full display to the flustered purple haired maiden outside the room.
The boy stopped his attacks as he delivered a final kick to the air, panting heavily as he held his foot in the air at his shoulder level, before slowly beginning to bring it down to the floor, a silent tap emitting from the mats below him. The boy stood in place, heaving as his body loosened up from his combat stance slowly, glistening from his sweat. His head lowered enough for his hair to shadow his eyes. His jaw slightly lowered at his labored breathing, his clean, pointy white teeth visible. His arms now slowly falling to his sides.
"Amazing.. His form.. technique.. It's all so.. brilliant.. Who is he?" Kagura thought as she continued to watch the drenched pinkette. Her heart beating in excitement as she hoped she would be able to get to experience combat with this individual.
"Oh man.. It's been too long since I've trained in an actual dojo, think I may have overdid it a bit." The boy spoke to no one in particular in exhaustion, letting out a awkward, yet weak chuckle. His hands now locked on his sides as he leaned forward slightly, still working on replenishing his stamina. "Gon.. Gonna need a good shower after that."
At the very sound of the pinkette's voice, Kagura's heart began to pound, but not before skipping a beat. Her hand lightly planting her fingers at the area of her breasts where her heart was. "W-What is this?.." Her eyes widened then suddenly she felt her gaze meet the boy's when he seemed to have caught sight of her. Letting out a high pitched squeak before she turned to lean back against the door, out of sight from the crack. Her hands clasping around her mouth after silencing her squeak. Swear beginning to form on her forehead.
The boy could've swore he saw what seemed like purple whip out of view suddenly at the door, knowing the obvious that someone had been watching him. He showed no signs of hostility as he gave a gentle closed smile and stood straight, still panting, but not as quick or hard as a minute ago. "You know, if you wanted to watch from a more comfortable view, I wouldn't stop ya." The boy spoke up in a friendly tone, tilting his head, wanting to know his previously unknown observer. His muscular arms crossing on his chest.
Kagura's body immediately tensed up upon hearing her prescence ackowledged. She cursed herself for being so careless. Closing her eyes tightly as she struggled to not cringe, a light blush on her cheeks.
"I-I'm terribly sorry for that." Kagura shyly spoke up after easing herself enough to open the door and taking a step inside. "Just thought I shouldn't break your concentration of your.. amazing performance." She said bashfully as she held the bookbag strap that was hanging on her right shoulder, clenching tightly on it as she prayed he wouldn't get upset with her.
The boy chuckled softly as he shook his head. "I probably wouldn't even have noticed you if you had been quiet about it. From what dad tells me, when I train. I tend to be.. clueless of those around me when I'm in the zone." He shrugged as he then turned around and made his way over a bench along the side of the training mats where he picked up a towel in one hand and a water bottle in the other. Taking the cap off the bottle before chugging down the drink at a fast speed. He let out a content sigh as the feeling of becoming refreshed consumed him. "But I'm glad you thought it was good." The boy finished with a wink at the girl before wiping the sweat off of his face and approaching the girl.
Kagura blushed a slightly darker shade of red at his flirty gesture, her body tensing up more as that unfamiliar, warm feeling inside her seemed to only grow stronger. She then perked up again when hearing him speak up again.
"Oh, by the way, the name's Natsu. Natsu Dragneel!" The boy, now named Natsu, threw the towel over his right shoulder as he then began to introduce himself, giving the purple haired beauty a toothy grin and crossed his arms. "And you are?" He said with a lifted brow as he extended one of his hands out to the surprised girl in front of him for a shake. "Hmm?" His face then look confused as he saw the girl look at him oddly.
Kagura looked up at him in blank face, but fascination in her eyes. "Natsu.. Dragneel.." She couldn't figure out what it was about him that had her so mesmerized. Even his name was enough to get her into a stupor.
"Hey, you alright in there?" Natsu said humorously as he was slowly waving one hand in front of her eyes, his other hand in a fist on his waist.
Kagura snapped back into reality, shaking her head as her senses were rushing back to her. "Wh-What?" She looked at him in confusion.
Natsu chuckled gently at the girl who was already making a good first impression on him. "I asked if I could get your name as well. As I said, name's Natsu Dragneel!" He reintroduced himself with another toothy grin to the girl as he stuck his hand between them once more. "And you arree?" He lifted a brow with a slight smirk as he hoped she would finally get through this.
"K-Kagura.. My name's Kagura Mikazuchi.." She shyly introduced herself as she shakily shook the pinkette's hand.
"Kagura.. Well that's pretty sweet name!" He said with enthusiasm. His hand returned to his towel as he then whipped one end around the back of his neck and his left hand caught that end and lightly held it like so. "May we be good friends from this point on huh?" He cocked his head at the girl as he delivered another flirty wink.
Kagura was able to determine that Natsu was definitely.. a very confident individual. But knowing that, helped her find the motivation to befriend the pinkette. She then summoned her courage before giving Natsu a beautiful smile of her own. "I look forward to it as well." She finished fairly confidentally.
Ahahah.. Well first off, I'd just like to say that this is the first fanfiction I have ever written, and this idea is just something I suddenly thought of on the spot today. So apologies if it seems.. sloppy or all over the place, haven't really planned ahead quite yet, but will definitely do so before getting on to the second chapter. I am thinking of making this a harem story. There are.. gosh, so many girls I love in the show and can just pair the hell out of with Natsu. If I do so, expect a limited list, maybe.. 6 or 7 at most. Don't wish for it to be ridiculously large. I have 3 already lined up, which is Kagura, Erza and Juvia because I love these girls and would honestly love to see Natsu with them instead. No offence to the Nalu lovers. I got no problem with that pairing. I just enjoy these girls more. The other 3 or 4.. are still up for choosing. So, if you'd like to suggest some girls. Feel free to!
Anyways, I've went on for long enough! I hope
you enjoyed this first part of my story here, will definitely be trying to make it more organized for the future of it. And I hope my writing style was at least bearable. Haha. Am also gonna be thinking of a RWBY and My Hero Academia stories as well. So I look forward to writing something on those two as I love those shows as well. Damn it, went on another little rant there, whoops. Lol
Follow, Favourite and Review if so desire! Until next time, Deuces!
