A/N: First off, I'd like to say that the lyrics in this story aren't mine. They're from David Archuleta's song Crush. Now, I would say if you don't like this pairing, get out now but you don't know the pairing. So, stay and find out...I think. Anyways, enjoy!...Hopefully.
Niou was staring again.
He only knew because he could feel Yagyuu's eyes on him and he promptly looked away. He couldn't help but stare at his crush. People might have called him weird for liking a boy, but they could shove it up their ass. Niou's hormones were raging inside of him, and he couldn't help it.
Taking out the extra notebook he had bought only yesterday, Niou began to write.
"Your lyrics seem…..graceful, Niou-kun."
Closing the notebook calmly enough that it wouldn't be mistaken for slamming, Niou looked up at his double's partner.
"They're not lyrics."
"A poem? A letter? What are they?"
"It's none of your business, Hi-ro-shi."
Yagyuu frowned at Niou. Sure the Trickster could be hard to pry information from but he was being extremely difficult about what he was writing.
"You know he'll never accept your feelings."
Bringing up Niou's crush had not been the best idea on Yagyuu's part. Sure he had been jealous that the Trickster had a crush on someone besides himself but he didn't need to go to that length.
After Yagyuu pointed out that bit of information, Niou rose in a silent fury.
"At least I'm doing something to break the stereotype put on all double's teams," grabbing his things, Niou hurried, in a calm fashion, to the door.
"And what stereotype is that?" Yagyuu asked, getting the Trickster to pause.
"That all double's teams have to be lovey dovey like the Golden Pair."
The next day after school, Niou found himself at his locker. He was finally done with his confession. After writing and rewriting sections, it was perfect, a work of art.
Slipping it into his crush's shoe box, Niou calmly walked out of the school and towards his home. Now, all he had to do was wait. If he could figure it out and return his feelings that would make him the happiest man on earth.
When he was sure the Trickster had left, Niou crush emerged from his hiding spot and note the piece of paper from his shoe box and read it.
I hung up the phone tonight,
something happened for the first time, deep inside.
It was a rush, what a rush.
Cause the possibility that you would ever
Feel the same way about me
It's just too much, just too much.
Why do I keep running from the truth?
All I ever think about is you.
You got me hypnotized, so mesmerized, and I just got to know.
Do you ever think, when you're all alone
All that we could be, Where this thing could go?
Am I crazy or falling in love?
Is it real or just another crush?
Do you catch a breath, when I look at you?
Are you holding back, like the way I do?
Cause I'm trying, trying to walk away
But I know this crush ain't goin away.
Staring at what the Trickster wrote, Sanada was in internal shock. He had no idea that Niou's feelings for him were strong enough to write something as…..poetic as this.
Folding the piece of paper several times so it would fit in his pocket, Sanada found himself internally smiling. His personality wouldn't allow him to kiss the Trickster in public but maybe if the locker room was empty after practice tomorrow.
The thought of kissing the Trickster filled Sanada's mind as he walked home. Perhaps….he could be the Trickster….for one moment.
