What If Konoha? Chapter 1, a naruto fanfic

This "What If?", comes from something I've been wondering for a while; Konohagakue no Sato, The Village Hidden Amongst The Tree Leaves.

In the Manga/Anime Konoha is in the middle of a forest. What if Konoha was made in the branches of a giant tree (like the Mangrove from Avatar: TLA).

At the end of the Great Shinobi Clan Wars, the Allied Clans of Fire Country (ACFC) under the command of the Uchiha and Senju clans, set forth a new way of war, Hidden Villages. With the approval of the clan heads and the blessing of the Lord of Fire, Senju Hashirama set forth to create the 1st Hidden Village, Konohagakue no Sato.

Hashirama lead the ACFC to Ash Valley, the long time battle ground of the Uchiha/Senju rivalry. It was a bleak, life-less valley with an ash/mud choked river and a jagged butte at the center. (AN sounds kind of familiar) He lead them top of the butte and started to meditate. The rest were wonder what he was doing.

"Aniki, what are you doing?" his brother, Senju Tobirama, asked. Hashirama stood and opened his eyes, but they were not his own, they were those of a toads. Flashing through a hundred or so seals, he announced the jutsu that changed history forever.

"Mokuton: Goumanguro-bu no Jutsu (Wood Element: Great Mangrove Tree)!"

First it was a rumbling, then the stone below the gave way to wood, tree size branches shot up and out, and then the wood bellow the ACFC started to rise. First 10 meters, then 20, 50, 100 and so on till they were 1 kilometer in the air. The braches grew outward over 2 kilometers, twisting and turn and branching off with leaves starting to grow. The roots grew out from the bottom of the butte into the rich ash soil and to the edge of Ash Valley, sprouting more trees, though these of normal size.

The Senju Clan Head flashed through another hundred hand seals and called forth his second jutsu.

"Suiton: Toko-Reisen no Fukai-Kousen on Jutsu (Water Element: Endless Mineral Spring from a Deep Underground Spring)"

Water began to form around the ACFC, creating an island where they stood. The lake was 25m deep at its deepest. Almost 300m in diamater, right to the edge of the trunk, where most of the water was held back by the massive branches. The rest of the water cascaded over the sides in waterfalls.

As Hashirama returned to normal, he addressed the assembled slack-jawed ninja.

"From here on out, we are no longer the Allied Clans of Fire Country. We are Konohagakue no Sato, the FIRST and GREATTEST Hidden village. Forevermore we are the Will of Fire. And as your leader, I proclaim my self Shodai Hokage." As one the ACFC, no, The Konoha-nin cheered as one

"Hail Hokage!"
