Chapter One
The best thing that ever happened to me
I yawned, brushing the long, slightly curly, blondish brown hair out of my eyes, I got into my bed. It was a white one with a large picture of a kitten, looking like my own, Arora. She is a Sealpoint Siamese. We also have Dusty, I brown tabby who has just had kittens, five of them in fact. They were all tabbies, one was silver, three were a dark grey and one was a Dusty mini. Anyway, enough of them. Lets get on with the story.
I turned off my kitten imprinted lamp and fell asleep within a few minutes. For what seemed like ages, I had the same dreams as always, then, a small black she cat appeared.
"Hi!" I walked forward, reaching out to pet the cat, then I saw that I had paws. Wait what?!
"Dont be startled." The cat purred. "Have you ever wanted to be a cat?"
"I haven't really thought about it, and WHY am I a cat?!" I begged.
"Well, enjoy your new life and remember this. Darkness is the only light that leads to victory."
I opened my jaws, I had begun to get used to being a cat in my strange dream already. But the world was spinning. Cried something, but the black cat had vanished.
I woke in a small place, covered in brambles and with a soft blanket thing on the bottom.
"Finally, you are awake." Purred a cat. I opened my jaws, Wait, but I'm no longer dreaming. I'm meant to be myself, Rosie!
"W-who are you and where am I?" I asked, nervously.
"I'm your mother, Silverbranch. This is the nursery." Silverbranch mewed.
"And I'm your sister. Duskkit!" A smaller black cat stuck her face close to mine. Then I remembered what I had read about warrior cats, I think me and Duskkit are kits! That made things a tiny bit easier.
"Dont forget me!" A tiny silver tom, I think, pushed our sister back. I'm Twistedkit!" I winced at the name.
"Who am I?"
"You are Rosekit, silly!" Purred Duskkit. "We also have another queen, the deputy! Smallmouse." Duskkit pointed at a small, light brown she cat with two small kits tucked in.
"They are Mintkit and Driftkit." Twistedkit mewed. "They are sleeping right now so let's explore camp!" Duskkit nodded excitedly.
"I don't know.." Silverbranch muttered doubt fully, then she saw her three kits' hopefull faces, "Oh go on, but be good!" She called after them.
"Kits." Purred Smallmouse. "Always hard to say no to."
When we came to camp, the first thing I did was knock into a cat, lapping at a puddle and push them in.
"Watch it!" Snapped the tom angrily.
I squeaked and lept back "Sorry!"
"Sorry to scare ye, I'm Talloak little 'un."
"I'm Rosekit." I mewed.
"You Silverbranch's daughter?"Talloak asked.
"Yes, why?" I was very confused.
"I'm her father!" He let out a raspy purr.
"You must be too old to be a warrior.." I commented., then I realised it was rude, "Sorry!"
To my relife, the cat let out anotherbraspy purr "I'm an elder, my mate, your grandmother, Swiftcloud, died last moon." His dark eyes were full of sorrow, "She couldn't fight greencough."
"I'm sorry." I tried to comfort the elder.
"You are a caring kit, maybe you are the one destined to be true medicine cat..."
"What?" I gasped, I was just being kind, didn't that mean I was like any cat?
"I think you are the one, Rosekit..."
