Author's Note: Okay, this is my first Inuyasha poem. I was at a hotel with
my friends and fellow otakus sabrika001 and Kai-Aki Ti and just started
writing this. A few days ago I got bored and decided to finish it. An

Our quest is almost over
We've followed a hero's lead
And it took me so long to realize
It's only you I need

I don't deserve to have you
To be alone should be my fate
But this only makes me lonely
I want you as my mate

But soon you'll need to leave me
The gods can be so cruel
But I won't try to stop you
I am nobody's fool

I can be independent
I can do it if I try
But deep inside my darkest soul
I know it's all a lie

I'll need you always by my side
To be my guiding light
I'll be there to defend you
It's for you I always fight

I've grown up always thinking
I don't deserve someone like you
But from your scent and the look in your eyes
I know you want this too

What's done is done and over with
And we have no regrets
There was only one thing stopping us
And I've laid her to rest
