Natalia 1
He waved his hand in front of her face. Once. twice. Three times. She had gone, the Nat that was poking fun at him had temporarily left. Her episodes usually happened during the middle of the night or the early morning, but it was half past noon and that familiar glossed look had returned. "...Natasha."
Her head snapped to look at him and fear ran through the whole of his being. Her eyes were empty and the familiar green seemed to dull. Usually Dom was there to handle her-but he starts anyways.
"...I'm Ty. You're Nat. I call you Natter and Dommy calls you 28. She's a ninja like you and you love her sometimes when she's not mean. We're in New York because we live here. You have work tonight. You always put the work nights on the board-in the kitchen so I don't keep asking you. Tomorrow is Liho's birthday, so you said we could get cupcakes." This is what he had seen Dom do. Small facts, little things. But Nat just stared at him like something lost.
"...Oh! Wait here.." sliding down from the couch he ran upstairs to his room, opening the drawer next to his bed to pull out his favorite picture of them-the only picture of all of them together.
When he returned she was still there and he wondered if she was holding her breath.
"This is me...that's you...and Dommy...and Liho. I call her Kitty. You say she's your favorite because she doesn't talk back."
She still doesn't speak, but takes the photo in cold hands. Memorizing it, the happy faces were foreign to her. She hands it back.
