I'll tell you story

Of a colonial boy

Who had a sister

Brave and fair

They played in the winter

He had fun with his sister

But all fun has to come

To an end

Pippa wanted to go skating

On Christmas day

Her brother Jack

Didn't think it was safe

She gave him the look

And the bait had been took

She'll regret that look

In the end

They fell in a snowbank

Near the lake, near there house

Pippa ran on the ice

Before Jack could get out

Jack heard a big crack

And was forced to look back

His sister stode still

On the crack

He calmed her down

By playing a game

He hooked his staff

Around her waist

He gave it a yank

And pulled her in safe

But as she looked back

She heard a sickening crack

Jackson Overland died

in her place

Go to the lake

In Burgess, today

Its been frozen over

Since that tragic day

They say his spirit

still lives on the lake

Protecting the children

Who play with their

Fate.
