Story 1

A bit of laughter helps in the worst of times.

My name is James Buchanan,a 16 year old trainer at the time of writing this story who's had quite a few adventures in my Pokémon YouTube video series but here I'm doing this story as an Experiment to fill you in on some side stories about myself that I couldn't tell in my YouTube series so with that out of the way Let's begin.

(P.S I don't own Pokemon ,only OCs)

When James Buchanan the main character feels upset after a loss to Ash and is suffering from depression from his father's death how will Ash and Co. Cheer him up?

*This story takes place during Unova after the 2 year timeskip to sinnoh and after I obtain the 3rd gym badge.*

Our story begins with me as a 15 year old in a middle of a battle in Unova where a war is going on but I'm willing to strengthen my skills in a double battle with my two Pokemon partners.

Alyssa who's a Pikachu but with a Spiky ear on the left, a black heart shaped tail and a white tummy with rainbow coloured hair.

Eva who's a Eevee with a Heart shaped tail like Alyssa but with Ribbons, one sky blue with clouds on the left ear, one Pink with yellow spots on the tail and a dark blue ribbon on the chest with a puffy hair style.

My opponent was a raven-haired boy who had travelled with me as a mentor and rival from Kanto-Sinnoh 17 year old Ash Ketchum who had trained separately from me for 2 years prior to Unova because of circumstances but that's for an different story.

"You ready to be beaten Ashy?", I said jokingly not meaning any offense I was never like that.

Ash then responds with a knowing smile ,"Oh we'll see James! ,You ready Bolt-Chu (Ash names his Pikachu in my Pokemon YouTube video series) and Oshawott?"

Before we continue I'd like to say I'm able to understand Pokemon language so if you're wondering why Bolt-Chu and Oshawott speak in human talk, That's why.

They replied in unison, "YEAH!"

"Then Let's GO! Bolt-Chu! Volt tackle! Oshawott Aqua jet!", Ash commanded.

I smirk expecting it, "Alyssa! Volt tackle on Bolt-Chu!, Eva Swift!"

The attacks collide in the air and the battle is intense and so I began using stage 1 Sage mode where I bond with my Pokemon and increase their power clashing back and forth but for some reason I felt...anxious?

This is not like me I said in my head but Ash notices I'm distracted and takes this chance, "Bolt-Chu Iron tail On Alyssa! Oshawott Razor shell on Eva!"

I then snap out of it realising my mistake and quickly make commands!, "Alyssa! Iron tail! Eva the same!" both clashed but by that point was too late Bolt-Chu and Oshawott knocked the pair out.

Lillie, my adopted sister then calls my side defeated and Ash's side the victors, but both went over to me looking at my Pokemon in concern I say I'm fine and we head to the Pokemon centre to heal the pair.

But then Ash started to grill me ,"What was with you back there James? It's not like you to be distracted."

This unfortunately annoyed me and I attempt to shrug it off with a "I'm fine."

But Ash could see I was lying, "No you're not."

I then snap saying ,"Just leave me alone Ash! OKAY!?" Ash was taken aback by this.

Serena his girlfriend then snaps at me,"HE'S JUST ASKING JAMES!"

I then sigh in guilt, "Sorry...I need to be in a room to cool off a bit." I then head to my room.

Once I was gone Ash and Serena then looked to my girlfriend and his sister Reia and my adopted sister Lillie in concern and Serena asks ,"Do any of you know what's up with him?"

Reia said sadly, "I think I know why, It's probably because he feels a lot of pressure knowing he has to face his brother in Team plasma after his loss of his right hand in a lightsaber duel after your battle against him in Sinnoh league finals and his Dad's death... so he probably feels he needs to train hard to match up to you and well you-know-who..."

Lillie then puts in, "I'm worried that if he doesn't losen up soon, he'll distance himself from everyone."

Ash then smiles sympathetically and says ,"You think of anything thing that might make him laugh Reia-nee chan?" as he knew Reia and I were pretty close as we were Boyfriend and Girlfriend after all.

Reia then ponders for a moment and then begins to grin and giggle mischievously, "I'll bet I know a way that will definitely work..."

Lillie catches on to her thoughts "Oh I know what you're going to say..."

Ash and Serena then catch wind of this and asks together "What kind of way?"

Reia and Lillie then whisper it to them and Ash and Serena begin giggling...

Meanwhile I look up at the ceiling and at my right arm but it wasn't any normal arm it was gold and robotic, but it served as a horrible reminder of the day I fought N and I lost brutally by losing my hand and he revealed he was my brother who I thought was dead by Dad and I felt upset and betrayed by him for hiding this from me.

Yet I knew he couldn't tell me the truth so I forgave him but ever since 2 years of training and... but when he died in battle, I felt as though I was losing my smile and I had to be more serious in this war I felt I would never smile or heck even laugh again.

Suddenly I heard the door open and out sprung Ash,Reia,Eddie,Lillie and Serena to my surprise then they began holding me down despite how strong I was "W-what are you-!?" I said panicky but Ash just stopped me and said calmly "Don't worry James this won't hurt at all."

Serena then puts in, "This'll make you laugh!"

"Huh?", I said then suddenly a hand touched my side and I let out a girlish Eep!

Turns out it was Reia who had a cheeky grin on her face saying, "Well that made you laugh."

"Wh-why did you-NEHAHA!", I said as Serena touched my other side wearing a sort of mischievous grin at me.

I began to blush cherry red asking indignantly, "What are you doin-!? Gehaha!"

I then saw that Lillie had taken off my shoes and socks and was tickling my feet.

Then Ash simply said, "We're tickling you to make you loosen up from all the stress you've been under James." , with a slight grin on his face.

I felt a chill run down my spine on hearing the word "Tickling", "H-how do you know about my weakness Ash!?" I asked nervously.

"Reia told me and Serena, about the time she found out in a game of hide and seek you played.", Ash said with a slight chuckle.

I was shocked at Reia, I was extremely ticklish from a young age and I would crack right away as Reia found out one day when I was playing hide and seek with her.

I accidentally had a foot sticking out of a bush I was hiding in as I had no shoes on as it was a summer day she easily managed to tickle my foot and I made to her promise not to tell anyone out of embarrassment.

"Why REIA!?", She grins at my flustered state and said "Well you've been too uptight lately and you need to laugh, sorry for breaking that promise by the way~ ", She ended that sentence with a cute face with her tongue out.

With that She began digging her fingers in my left side and Serena followed by tickling my right armpit but no matter what I refused to crack.

But when Reia pulled up my shirt and tickled my bare side it was too much for me and I popped like a water balloon with laughter, "NAHAHA! NOHOHO! STAHAHAP IT! HAHA!"

Serena then giggles, "Nope! You need have this cute laugh more often!",She said now tickling my knees making me squeal with Laughter!

"HHAHAHAHHA! STHAHAHAHP!", I screamed desperately, Lillie giggled at my state as I had tickled her awake once so she was wanting payback for it, "You have pretty tickly feet James! So just laugh away your troubles! Coochie Coochie coo!", Lillie teased.

This was the most awkward moment of my life as a Pokemon Trainer and I didn't have as much as these just the whole thing was too Much for me as I continued to laugh tears starting to form in my eyes from laughing so hard.

"HAHAHHA! GUHAHAHYS STHAHAHP! I CAN'T TAKE IT!", I was beginning to scream like a little girl at this point.

"Aw...but we only just started James...", Reia pouted at me with a cute face ack... why did she have to be this cute!?

"Well then Let's try here..", Ash said unusually enjoying this he then wriggled a finger into my belly button and I just shrieked with laughter.

"YEEP! HEEHAHAHAAHAHAHA! NOHOOHO! ASH IT TICKLES! STAHAHAHAP! HAHAHA!", I pleaded, desperately hoping he would give up this torture.

Ash just smirked with a wide grin in satisfaction at my laughing state,

"I guess this makes us even for the time you and Reia tickled me James.", Ash said.

I just yelped in response recalling the time I helped cheer up Ash after his loss with Paul at Lake acuity... wait a minute...so he was secretly plotting this all the time for payback! How could I not see THIS!?

"I'M SORHAHAHRY FOR THAHHAHT! ASH STHAHAP!", I frantically said hoping he would stop but he was clearly enjoying this revenge.

Then Ash began blowing raspberries on my tummy and I practically shrieked with laughter to the point of tears , "EHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! NOT THATHAHAT! ASH! STHAHAHAHAP! YOU'RE GONNA KILL ME!"

Upon realising I was at my limit Ash immediately stopped his attack to let me catch my breath.

"You okay?", Ash asked.

I struggled to reply from giggling I'd never felt so exhausted in my life...or laughed so hard from a simple tickle attack for that matter...

"*pant, pant* Where do I begin...? Why'd you guys do this!?",

I asked slightly annoyed, though deep down I actually liked being tickled.

Reia sharply says, "You idiot! We were worried about you ever since you lost your right hand! , You've always been acting tough in front of us that it feels like you're distancing yourself from us, hiding everything from us even me...!, WHY JAMES!? WHY DO YOU KEEP BOTTLING UP EVERYTHING!?"

Reia then started to cry and I just began to crack upon seeing her tears.

"Sorry Reia I just felt as though I couldn't trust anyone about my feelings because of my brother and the fact he's N that I felt I had to take responsibility on my own and also my Dad dying for me...I didn't mean to upset everyone I'm sorry..."

For the first time in a while I was full of emotion that I just let out my tears with Ash putting a hand on my shoulder saying words of comfort I'll never forget for as long as I live,

"James you may not like how your Dad hid the truth about your brother or you feel like talking about how he sacrificed himself for you but please know that no matter what happens we'll always be there for you even at your worst so please don't be afraid to talk to anyone about your feelings...unless you want us to tickle you again?", Ash said with a playful threatening look in his eyes at the last sentence.

Serena then puts in, "Or If you don't, we'll do this mooorree often~", Serena teased.

I had wiped away my tears by this point and slightly jumped at the thought of getting tickled again causing Ash, Reia, Serena and Lillie to giggle slightly, but I smiled. , "Thank you guys. I don't know where I be without you I guess I deserved that."

"You're welcome James.", Ash said happily.

I then got a mischievous look at Reia,Lillie and Serena, and Ash caught on pinning them down and they were taken by surprise,"WH-WHAT!? What are you-!?" Reia began.

I grinned mischievously with playful wrath, "Getting payback for you lot suggesting this."

Ash chimed in also with playful wrath, "Also as you are my sis you get the same from me! and it's only fair James gets his revenge on you for suggesting this! and that goes for you Serena!"

I dug my fingers into Reia's sides and she immediately burst out laughing as she was just as ticklish as me but before she was my girlfriend she would often slap me for teasing her when we were kids, but she's stopped that now.

"EAHAHHA! NOHOHO! NOT THISISIS!, *Reia giggles and snorts*"

"I'm only getting started Reia! Coochie Coochie Coo!", I teased as I took off Reia's shoes and socks and tickled her feet causing her to squeal and squeak like a mouse it was just too adorable!

"NYHAHAHA! HEHEHEE!" ,Reia screamed out laughing until she cried.

Ash meanwhile tickled Serena and she burst out laughing when he tickled her sides.

"HAHAHAHA! ASH! STHAHAHAHP!", Serena screamed, But Ash carried on away.

However Lillie was the most ticklish one as Ash found out when he tickled her feet, "NOHOHO! ASH! QUITITIT ITITIT! HAHAHAHA!", Lillie screamed,"Coochie Coochie Coo Lillie!", Ash teased.

This continued for 10 minutes until we let up on them letting the girls breathe, "Ah...that was fun." Reia said, grinning.

"Yeah it actually was and thank you for cheering me up Reia.", I said somewhat shyly.

She blushed a bit looking down at her feet, "Hehe..."

I also giggled at her adorable actions.

"*pant* *pant* You're impossible Ash...you know that?", Serena said, Ash grinned, "I know."

"Take deep breaths Lillie.", Ash said as he went a bit overboard, "Ahh...I guess I got what I deserved Ash...", Lillie said smiling.

Soon afterward Alyssa and Eva were healed up and we were on the way to Nimbasa city laughing about yesterday's events and to this day as a trainer I considered it the best day of my life and one I would never forget as long as I lived as I had the happiest smile ever.
