The disclaimer is very tough. You see I do own the story plot and the ideas but I don't own the bible... the heavenly trio own that

Once upon a time there lived a family of 4. There was a widowed father. He had 3 children. The oldest was a daughter. The younger two were sons.

One day the father had to go out on a journey. He spoke to all three of his children.

"Sarah, Paul, Peter," he said, "I have to go on a trip. I shall be back in 3 weeks. While I am gone I don't want you to touch the glass vase I have on the coffee table."

All three children promised. Their father kissed them goodbye and headed out. The last day before he returned Paul felt compelled to touch the glass vase. He reached out with his hand and touched the vase. Guilt immediately fell upon him.

The father got back the next day.

"How are my precious children," he asked.

"Fine father," all three of them said.

"Paul you look sad," the father told his son, "why are you sad?"

Paul froze a moment before speaking.

He was afraid to say anything. He was afraid that his father would not love him anymore if he did. He summoned his courage however and told his father the truth.

"Father I have done wrong," he began.

"What did you do," his father asked.

"I know I shouldn't have done it but yesterday I touched the glass vase on the coffee table."

Paul had expected his father to be angry with him. He had expected him to yell, swat him or punish him. The father did none of those things. He instead knelt before him and hugged him.

"You told the truth Paul," said the father, "and that was not easy to do. I'm disappointed that you disobeyed me but I'm more proud of you because you told me the truth. You are forgiven," he added with a smile, "and try not to disobey me again"

"I never will," Paul promised.

"Even if you do you will be forgiven every time because I love you," the father said.

That is how our heavenly father is. We may disobey Him. We may even do the one thing that seems unforgivable. It doesn't matter. He forgives us because he loves us every time.
