It was time for Draco to send his first and only son to Hogwarts for his first year. He had once had a daughter, but she was, er...long gone. Females were not permitted in Draco's family, with the exception of his wife, Hannah Abbott. As he once again tried to remember why he had married her, he saw Harry Potter.
Harry had changed a lot seen Draco had last seen him, but, he thought, it had been fourteen years. The last time they had met was when Harry was his best man at the wedding.
"Draco!" exclaimed Harry cheerfully. "Let me introduce you to my children."
He pushed five adorable children in front of him, lined up from shortest to tallest. He began to go down the line, pointing at each of the children.
"This is Nymphadora, named after my godson's mother."
"This is Remus, named after my godson's father."
"This is Sirius, named after my godfather."
"And this is Hermione, named after a goddess."
"Harry!" shouted Ginny.
"And let's not forget Albus Severus Tom Draco Potter, named after the top four people who made my life at Hogwarts difficult. He's starting his first year today."
"I don't like my name," whined Nymphadora. "It implies that I'm married to Remus!"
"And that we're Teddy's parents," piped Remus.
"Quiet," snapped Ginny. "The only one allowed to insult your father's naming skills is me. Got it?"
"So who's that?" asked Harry, pointing at Draco's son.
"This is my only child," said Draco, patting the boy on the shoulder, "So, naturally, his name is Buckbeak."
"What house are you hoping for, Buckbeak?" asked Ginny, smiling.
"Hufflepuff, of course," answered Buckbeak readily.
"Nice seeing you, Draco," said Harry, and he walked over to attempt to visit Luna Lovegood, but she was surrounded by fans demanding autographs.
Draco saw the Weasleys and dragged Buckbeak to them.
"Well, if it isn't Ron and Hermione Weasley!"
"Actually, I never changed my name," corrected Hermione. "There would have been too many jokes involving weasels. I'm sure that you of all people know how frustrating that can be."
"It would also have been too difficult to keep getting divorced," added Ron. He put his arm around her shoulder. "She's my wife three times removed."
"You're together now, aren't you?" asked Draco.
"Yes," laughed Ron, "But ask again in two weeks!"
"Ron!" Hermione said angrily.
"These are our children, Rose and Hugo," said Ron. "Unlike someone--" he shot a look at Harry. "--we came up with our own names for our children. You see, it's rather confusing to talk about my three nieces and two nephews."
"You mean your two nieces, and three nephews, dear," corrected Hermione.
Ron shrugged. "You never can tell with Sirius."
"Ronald!"
"Good luck at Hogwarts," Draco said to Rose, the older child that he assumed mus be the one starting school. He watched the Potter family again as they made their way to the train.
"Albus, give Neville our love," said Ginny.
"Mum, I can't! He's still in St. Mungo's!"
"St. Mungo's? Since when?"
"Since Sirius stabbed him in the side of the head with a fork."
"Oh, yes. I remember now. Well, have a good year. We'll see you at Christmas. Write us a letter when you do something dangerous and end up on the Quidditch team!"
Ginny waved at him as he boarded the train, and Buckbeak got on after him.
All was well.
But not for Lupin, Tonks, Snape, Dumbledore, Sirius, Fred, George's ear, Cedric, Lily, James, Dobby, Colin, Peter, Mad-Eye Moody Voldemort, or Hedwig.
