A/N: A prequel to my oneshot This is Her Heartbreak. I do not own SWAC.

You are weak when you lie because you aren't strong enough to face the truth.

~x~

She finally said it.

After 3 long years, she finally said it.

Those three words that you've waited so long for.

You smiled for a split second, but it disappears after you realize what's about to happen.

She hurt you in so many ways,

she lied to to in all directions,

she killed you til there was nothing left.

She told you things you never wanted to hear.

She said you weren't good enough.

She broke the heart you never knew you had.

She moved on, didn't she?

She had him, everything you weren't.

So why was she here now?

Telling you something you've told her before.

"I love you" over and over again she whispers.

From the moment you met her, 3 long years ago...

you did love her.

You close your eyes, trying your best to hide.

She's hurting you.

You were ready and she wasn't.

She didn't believe you when you said it.

Now here she is, expecting you to say it back.

But you can't, you won't.

You are sick and tired of your meaningless conversations.

You tell yourself, 'you don't need her, she doesn't need you, she doesn't want you'.

lies

You're dying inside, little by little.

You can't take it anymore.

You finally look up into those now watery brown eyes.

"I'm sorry," you say "I don't."

She messed up this time.

You won't allow yourself become second place.

"Not anymore" you add.

You feel a sharp pain running through your entire body.

It's the truth.

No matter how hard you try to deny it,

the truth is never pretty.

You can never handle it.

No matter how much you want to.

You want to die, but you can't.

You watch her break when she realized those were the same words she said to you.

You turn your back on her,

knowing this is the last time.

You hold your head high and walk away without a single glance back.

Holding back the tears. Ignoring the pain.

Not even you can handle the truth,

because that's what it is,

the ugly truth.
