Erm. Blame Liisha2themoon, because this is totally and completely all her fault. She read my drabble and went "I would love to see it from Seifer's POV" and Random bunny thought my foot was a carrot. I got bit by my bunny muse. Great. Um. Yeah. Sorry, FinalFallenFantasy, if you're reading this. It's barely longer than any of my drabbles (in fact, short than some of them) and I just wanted it out the way. I hope you can forgive me. D:
Shall we start?

"Mommy!" A six-year-old boy called, looking wildly around the large shopping mall for his mother and her boyfriend. "Mommy! Zell!" He called louder, pushing through the crowd of legs, looking for someone – anyone – who he recognised.
It wasn't like he was scared (oh, but he was, he was terrified), he was a big boy now and big boys don't get scared. It didn't help that Zell, his mother's boyfriend, had joked (was he serious?) about losing him on purpose. But he was a big boy, so he would go look for his mother like a big boy and not be scared.
Suddenly, a smaller body (smaller than him!) bumped into him, causing him to look down. Big brown orbs gazed up at him, awe filling them. Seifer's breath caught in his throat for a moment, completely mesmerised by the boy and his tiny (yet oh so pretty) frame. Time stopped for a moment, the adults around them seemingly stopping walking as the two children stared at each other. Then the world started again, forcing Seifer to look away at the clatter of noise that had returned. The ominous feeling of being lost and left behind returned and Seifer pushed the boy out of his way, too terrified of never seeing his mother again to care about the younger.
"Mommy!" He called again, taking off as fast as he could towards where he hoped his mother to be.
Still, he never forgot those eyes.
Especially not when the next time he saw them, tears were appearing at the bottom because Rai, Seifer's tanned friend, had bumped into him and sent him sprawling. Seifer glared at his friend, upset that those (pretty, doe-like) eyes were sad. He didn't dare to look at them again, though, just in case time stopped again and didn't start back up.

Title inspired by Hayner's eyes and Destiny Child's "Brown eyes", the first line fitting in beautifully with this piece.
