Emilie sat the piano, playing it so beautifully that it was if she was casting a spell with music. Gabriel came in, followed by a little Adrien. "Play for me Papa!" the toddler pleaded, "Please?"
Gabriel looked at his wife. She smiled, "One duet before bed. Does that sound fair, mon petit chaton?"
"Yeah!" Adrien smiled.
"Is that alright with you Gabriel?" Emilie asked.
He nodded. He scooped Adrien up in his arms and tossed him into the air. "Wee!" Adrien cheered. His father sat him on the couch where laid down to watch. His parents began to a soft and beautiful medley. The notes seemed to dance gently through the air, as the gentle waltzing tune fled the air. It was as if the stars were singing. When they had finished Adrien was asleep.
"What a little darling," Emilie said smiling over at Adrien. Gabriel chuckled softly and picked up the little boy.
"No… I want *yawn* another song." Adrien said sleepily.
Emilie smiled at the little child. "No chaton it's time for bed. We'll play for more tomorrow."
"Why can't tomorrow come quicker?" he asked as they left the living room.
"It will, if you go to sleep," his father laughed. They brought him to his room and tucked him into bed. "Good night Adrien." Gabriel said smiling.
"Good night, mon petit chaton," Emilie said sweetly.
"Night momma, night papa," Adrien yawned. Gabriel took his wife's hand in his as they left the room.
After they shout the door Gabriel sighed. "Have to finish up some work to finish up."
His wife giggled. "You work so much!"
"But I love what I do and I do it for the ones I love! You and Adrien! You two are my world, you're the only people who matter to me! I work so you can have the best and only the best."
She smiled. "You are the most caring man in the world, my love." She kissed on the cheek. He smiled and hugged his wife tight. He began to cry as the world faded to back.
His eyes snapped open as he stared into the darkness of his room at midnight. His face was tear soaked. He rolled over onto his side, "Why did that dream have to end."
