"Whatever." Bailey sleepily stood in her doorway, fighting with her mother again.

This had been happening for weeks now, and Bailey didn't really know why they always got into such big arguments, they just did. She wasn't proud of it, but her mother made her so angry sometimes.

"Well, goodnight Bailey." Her mother said with a depressed sigh, "see you in the morning."

Not responding back to her mother, she quickly closed her door, surrounding herself in total darkness. "Piss off." She muttered, and yawned a big heavy yawn. She needed sleep. Slowly walking over to her bed, she tripped suddenly and began to fall, but regained her balance immediately.

She looked down, picked up the mysterious object that caused her to trip, and saw that it was a big heavy book that her sister left in her room earlier that day when she came in to borrow her camera. Which, she didn't give back yet. Why did everyone in her family have to piss her off so much? It was getting to the point where Bailey was embarrassed whenever she went out in public with them. Not just a small blush or two; she actually regretted being seen with them.

But that's how teenagers are.

Kicking the hardcover book with her foot hastily, she climbed into bed fast. Melting down into the covers and closing her eyes and began to think.

'If dad was still here, I wouldn't be so angry all the time. He always knew what to say.'

She drifted off to sleep, dreaming of happy things. Because she knew she'd only be happy in her dreams.

Her eyes opened wide. The sun was pouring into her room more than usual this morning. She rolled over onto her stomach and pulled the covers over her to block the light.

Or at least, she would have, if she was in her bed.

Feeling prickly grass beneath her, she stood up instantly, her heart beating fast. Had her parents finally kicked her out? She chuckled.

She was lost in her thoughts and completely forgot about the huge problem she was in.

"Hello," Bailey's heart skipped a beat and she whirled around, squinting to see who it was because of the bright light. "welcome to Strangetown."
