"I'm here! Now what do you want, Clown!" Batman growled. The Joker chuckled, stepping out of the shadows. "Well, Bats, I see you came!" He declared. "Do you know why I called?"
"I'm sick of your games, Joker! Just get to the point!" The bat demanded. "You see, Batsy, I… kind of… need your help." Joker said stepping fully into the moonlight.
Batman's eyes narrowed in anger as he took in the disheveled state of his foe. Looking over the cuts and bruises lining the Joker's thin frame, he growled. The Joker was his! His to chase, his to beat, and his to love! He was the only one allowed to hurt him!
Joker hissed in pain as Batman grabbed him by the arm and shoved into the Bat mobile. Making himself comfortable on the leather seat, he allowed the Bat to lock him to the door of the car. It's not like he wanted to go anywhere anyway.
"Look at all the stuff in here!" He exclaimed gleefully.
"Don't touch anything." Batman demanded.
"Can I push this button!?" he asked anyway.
"No." Batman replied angrily.
"But, it's shiny!" Joker whined.
"Be quiet, or I'll gag you and put you in the trunk!" Batman roared, losing his temper.
The Joker stayed quiet, though he was tempted to see if he would really do it. The quiet didn't last for long. Five minutes later:
"So… why are you doing it?" Joker questioned. "Doing what?" Batman asked, confused. "Helping me, Bats. Why are you helping me?" He curiously stated. Batman thought for a minute before answering. "Because I help anyone in need. Even you."
Joker slouched down into the seat. "Denial, thy name is Batman…" He mumbled under his breath. "What are you talking about?" Batman grouched. "You just can't accept that you love me, can you, Bats?" Joker declared. "I do not love you!" Batman argued. The Joker sighed. "I'm not stupid, Bats. I saw how angry you were when you found out I got hurt. Stop lying to yourself and just kiss me already!"
"I thought you'd never ask…" Batman breathed, leaning to capture Joker's lips with his own.
The Joker smirked into the kiss. Getting hurt worked to his advantage.
(After all, the Bat didn't need to know that he got hurt from falling down a flight of stairs.)
