Prologue
"I ask you again Char, what in the world are we doing here? Sigh. We had one opportunity to cover a story on Jo In Sung. And to be there. With him. In South Korea. But no. We had to be sent to this godforsaken place in Chandigarh where we are to interview people I have never heard of, and I must say, don't care a wit about. Why? Why do we always end up doing everybody else's dirty work?
Charlotte was at this point looking at Lizzy, with one eyebrow raised, contemplating on how best to soothe the nerves of her dear friend. Being a reporter was not easy when all you want is a good story or news that actually matters to the world. When one did not care for society gossip or the going on's of celebrities such as reporters like Lizzy and Charlotte, it was difficult to find people you would agree with most of the time.
"Listen, lady, as much as you would like to disagree, these are important people. And folks care about them. I know coming to the sets of roadies is not the ideal headline for the likes of us, but look at the bright side. Fitzwilliam Darcy is here!"
"Fitzwilliam who? Look, the only reason I am still standing here with some semblance of sanity intact is because I know we get to meet Ruth Gardiner. Boy, the lady knows how to roll. Such an inspiration…"
"Lizzy, stop. Cut it out. Could you at least show some sort of interest? We are right outside trailers that belong to important people, and the last thing I want is to get kicked out of the place and then face the wrath of that WOMAN."
"Alright. Sheesh." Unbeknownst to the ladies, they were being observed far more closely than any celebrity would usually care to acknowledge by a someone and he was certainly intrigued.
