Once every week he steps out of Hiroku, takes off his cloak and sneaks away.
Once every week she takes off her hitae-ate, makes up an excuse to give to her teammates, and sneaks away.
He's positive she knows who he is, and what's he's done. After-all he knows who she is and her skills.
She's pretty sure he realizes who she is, and he knows that this is illegal. After-all, it's not hard to tell who he is by his hair, she's probably the same.
But this doesn't seem to affect their day, filled with pleasant conversation, light humor and even a few glances that could mean something more. As soon as the stars are clearly to be seen, they part, with one last longing glance signifying both don't want to leave, both will be waiting for next week, and both want more.
This happens once a week, every week and will continue until something changes. He could leave his organization, and change his appearance, but then he would have to hide his hair that she loves so.
She could leave her village, and become a different kunoichi, but he cares too much to have her give up everything for him.
