I really don't know where this came from…It is a little poem I wrote this morning…I think it came from listening from Candle in the Wind too many times…Anyway… It is a poem remembering Aiden from the point of view of someone on probably Danny…I hope you enjoy.

You were among the best,
Of the people that I know.
You were brave and went places,
Most never dared to go.
You were strong and you were fearless,
And you never sought to please.
You held you head up high,
When others would have fallen to their knees.
You stood your ground
When the sky began to fall,
And you were never scared
Of anything, anything at all.
You were the kind of person
That I was proud to know.
And if I'd known I would lose you,
I would have never let you go.
I didn't really have a choice
Your purpose here was gone.
But you had a mission you must finish
Before you could move on.
You gave it all you had
And it took all that and more.
But even in your darkest moments,
You didn't crumble to the floor.
You held your head up high,
And gave it all you could,
But this time evil won,
Even though it never should.
And in the end we caught the guy,
But at much too high a cost.
It was hard to think of what that gained,
When we thought of all we lost.
He took you from out lives that day,
And it tore us all apart.
But you will always be held close,
In our souls and in our hearts.
I must live for tomorrow.
But I'll remember yesterday.
When you were safe beside me,
And laughter washed the pain away.
And now I have to say,
As tears glisten in my eyes:
Goodbye my dearest friend,
Goodbye forever goodbye.
