It was pretty ironic that the cat wanted the mouse- that the cat had always wanted the mouse.
Kyo laughed at himself for being so cliché, which was more Yuki's style.
Ahhhh Yuki.
Kyo remembered all the fights he had let Yuki win. The only reason he kept fighting was to feel their bodies touch, to hear Yuki's voice get evil, to see his eyes laughing at the 'stupid cat'.
Kyo remembered his lust for Yuki. The feline remembered how he turned all that desire onto Tohru.
The girl took it willingly enough, but Kyo still felt guilty. He still had trouble looking at himself in the mirror.
Yuki hadn't known, but Shigure threw a fit and Kyo wasn't allowed in the house for months after that.
Kyo remembered how long he had loved Yuki and how long Yuki had hated him.
Would it always be this way?

Yuki remembered telling Shigure about his desires, begging him not to tell Akito.
But Shigure couldn't keep himself from telling Tohru. The girl smiled and whispered something to him. The dog went into a fit of rage. He yelled at Kyo, then the cat was gone and Yuki was lonely.
Yuki remembered how long he had loved Kyo and how long Kyo had hated him.
Would it always be this way?
Their love is like a game of cat and mouse.
They feel so strong about each other but the other had no idea.
