This Boy. Don't talk to him. He doesn't have any parents…he'll grow up wild!
How awful! Look at him so dirty and useless!
What a monster! No, don't touch him!
"Naruto…" Sasuke's voice creeped into my mind, disrupting my thoughts. "Naruto…Are you all right?"
The bandages all over my body constricted my movement. I tried to move, but I was too weak.
"Easy!" Sasuke caught me as I lurched forward, unable to control my muscles. "Can't you stay still?!" He seemed more tense than he ever did.
"Naruto…" Sasuke started, his black hair shone against the sun's light coming in through the window. "Thank you… for…ah…saving me…" He turned away so I couldn't see his face.
"Oh… um…uh, your welcome…" Tears sprinted down my face. I had an emotional overload. I couldn't bottle things up anymore.
They wouldn't stop flowing.
"Ugh…" Sasuke rested his head in his hands. "….."
There was a very uncomfortable silence for the next few moments.
"Fine…" Sasuke let a flood of air release as he started to talk, "Fine…I'll listen…"
"Dwa?" I looked at his abashed face, reddening more and more each second
"I said I'll listen… your problems…" He looked at me. (I was still crying…)
"Oh… It's just … " My hands balled up into fists and started to shake. "I couldn't save her… she was right there and she just slipped through my fingers…" I started to cry more intensely. " She just…. I couldn't…. I was so weak….."
He raised his head slightly, just enough to be able to see me. "Are you done?"
I nodded sheepishly. "Yeah… um thanks…. For well listening I-I'm sorry that I started to cry I just…."
Sasuke got up and strutted slowly across the room. "It's alright… I don't mind…" He ruffled my hair, and gave me that crooked smile I liked so much. "Anytime…"
I thought to myself. 'Maybe I can stand a little taller as long as he is by my side…'
