Alex was running. She was running from the boys behind her, throwing things and yelling obsene remarks. She didn't try to offend them, but her intelligence wasn't something she hid. As one of the cretins neared, she dropped her satchel, sprinting ahead. Spotting a hiding place, she pounded on the door of the Police Box. "POLICE!" she screamed, pounding harder. "HELP! I'M BEING ATTACKED!" The tenth Doctor opened the door and quickly pulled the girl into the TARDIS after hearing the screams. Alex shuddered. "Oh my gosh thank y-" she stopped. "Your Police Box..." "Yes, type-40 TARDIS" He gave a small wave " 'ello I'm the Doctor. You are?" "Alex." she replied. "You're a Doctor and a Cop?" "Kinds of. So Alex, who was attacking you?" "Just some cretins from school." Alex replied, hiding her stomach self-conciously. "Why?" "I'm smarter than they are." Alex said rather meekly. "...and I might have hacked their Facebooks..." He grinned and then realised that he shouldn't have been grinning. "Never hide your intelligence Alex. Never. Knowledge is powerful" Alex smirked. "Yeah, so are fists, as they felt the need to tell me." The Doctor gestured to the seat. "Here sit down" He said as he went to get a cloth and ice. Alex sat, trying to ignore the poundings on the door of the.. .what did he call it? TARDIS? He came back with a box of fish fingers, and handed it to Alex. "Here, this is the only frozen, cold thing I have. Never did like Fish fingers" He turned around and went back to the console, and muttered to himself. "How do fish have fingers?" Alex pressed the frozen fish phalanges (had to) to her abdomen. "Any chance you can get a cop to help get me home?" she asked. "those boys are still there, and they'll chase me home..." "I can do better than that" He said starting to fiddle with the console "What are you talking about?!" Alex demanded. "You don't even know where I live!" "Okay, that may be a slight hiccup, where do you live?" Alex told the Doctor her address and migrated the package to her shin. "Er... what does the big spinny thing do...?" "Wait and see" He said spinning a dial as the TARDIS disapperated and the pounding at the door stopped Alex gripped the chair as a grinding noise shook the Police Box. "WHAT THE HECK?!" she screamed, clutching the box of fish fingers. The TARDIS landed. The Doctor grinning. "Now your home, I believe" He said gesturing to the door Alex limped out the door. "That... that's impossible!" she exited the TARDIS, then turned. "How can I call you again? They might be back..." He leaned his head back. "Oohh, make a wish, that usually works" Alex smiled. "Thanks again, then..." she opened the door to her house, then began waving. "Goodbye, Mr. Doctor!" "Bye Alex. Don't be afraid of intelligence" He said waving to her
