She couldn't take it she was being attacked again, he was here to kill her, coming up into her apartment to kill her.
Kate flinched when she knocked her glass of alcohol and it shattered all over the floor. Tears streaming down her face she grabbed her gun and fell to the floor on top of the broken glass cutting her skin.
She felt the pain, and she knew he was coming to kill her she couldn't breathe. She heard more commotion and crawled over to the wall with hot tears rolling down her face and holding her gun to the door waiting to protect herself.
Castle's POV
He was worried about Kate. She left the precinct that day a little worked up and not herself, and she wasn't answering any of his calls, they were all going to voicemail. So Rick got into his car and drove to apartment to make sure she was all right. When he got out of the elevator and to the front of her door he heard glass shattering and crying coming from her apartment. He started panicking, "Kate! Kate!." Rick screamed. "Are you okay.!" When no answer came he found her spare key she kept under the welcome mat and he opened the door.
The room was pitched black and he heard racking sobs coming from the corner of the room. "Kate?" Rick said quietly as he made his way slowly to the wall. "Are you okay?" When he saw her bleeding wrists and all the glass shattered on the floor he felt his heart race a mile a minute and so many questions were going through his head. He say down next to her and slowly took the gun away from her shaking hands. "He's coming for me." Kate said. Rick then realized she was having a PTSD attack.
He wrapped her shaking body in his arms and carried her to the couch. He sat down and pulled her body to his chest. He held her tight and said "Your safe Kate, I'm here. I promise I won't let anyone hurt you. Your safe." Her sobs started to quiet down as she curled deeper into his chest. "It's all so real." Kate said. "I know." Rick said has he rubbed her back. Rick got up and said "I'll be right back."
He went and got a band-aid and some antiseptic to clean her wrists. He sat back down on the couch and put Kate arms in his lap, cleaned and bandaged them. After he finished, he pulled Kate back into his body and held her. He heard a faint "Thank you, for saving me Rick." Before she curled into his body and fell asleep wrapped in his arms. "Always." Rick said and soon fell asleep with her in his arms, protecting her.
