Kingsley appears out of thin air, in front of a row of completely unspectacular houses. The night is mild and he can see the moon shining brightly just above the horizon. It's dark enough that he can see some stars out. If he cared about Astronomy, he might stay to see if he could pick out some constellations; but he dropped that course as soon as he could when he was at Hogwarts.
He turns his gaze back to the houses. He can see Number 12 Grimmauld Place slowly come into view. There's a pop next to him.
"Kingsley," the newcomer says.
He smiles. "Tonks," he greets with a bow of his head. "Were you followed?"
The woman next to him grins. Her hair is bubblegum pink. "Bounced around several times," she answers. "Then gave a false trail that led to my mother's house like usual. They will get an ear full from her before they track me." She raises her eyebrow. "You?"
"My trail ended at the Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade," he says. He always leaves a false trail. There's nothing wrong with being overtly careful, especially now, when neither of them know who all they can trust.
Finally, the house comes into view. He heads inside, Tonks hot on his heels. He only relaxes when the door is shut. He's headed towards the kitchen when he hears something fall loudly. Despite the curtain being closed for Sirius' mother, she shrieks at the noise. He sees one of the other Order members come from the kitchen and head towards Mrs Black's portrait. He turns around to face Tonks.
Her hair has darkened a few shades and she's giving him a guilty look. "Sorry."
"That umbrella holder has been in the same spot," Kingsley says. "How do you manage to knock into it every time?"
She's righting the fallen umbrella holder when she glares at him. "I can't help it," she says defensively. "I've never been particularly good at paying attention to my surroundings."
He shakes his head and smothers a laugh. "It's a wonder how you passed the stealth portion of Stealth and Tracking."
"Almost didn't," she replies. She stands and heads towards the kitchen. "I have to use several charms to help me when I'm in a situation that requires stealth. Mad Eye still isn't too fond of me using them."
He laughs. "You might want to use them all the time."
