Agent Phillip Andrew Coulson had never once been baffled in his 40 years of living. But, a visit from the German SHIELD division had him rethinking this fact. He prided himself on being able to place people in categories; Tony was in the Do-not-trust-under-any-circumstances, Bruce was in a special category, just for him, which was aptly titled Big-green-guy. The others were in the I-only-trust-because-they-work-for-SHIELD.

But when Eva Klug walked in, dark hair in a high pony tail, and her blue eyes cold and calculating around the rest of her co-workers, but glittering and mischievous around others, he drew a blank of where to place her. She was sweet, yet sarcastic. Loud, yet more often than not, she remained silent. She was defiant, but occasionally followed orders.

And Phil was absolutely, positively bewildered. He hated it.

Eva walked into Fury's office, a dark expression on her face, and she slammed the door, which a few agents then pressed their ears against. Shouts and slams could be heard, and Coulson cringed. Halfway through, he heard what sounded like angry German – though, he thought Germans always sounded angry.

He cringed, catching Natasha's eye and watching her purse her lips, though he could see amusement in her forest green eyes. "Anything you'd like to share, Agent Romanoff?" She shook her head, though her lips had left their pursed position to morph into a smirk. "She's telling Fury off for 'walking into her territory and fighting an alien that was theirs to take down'. It's…amusing."

Coulson merely shook his head. Looking at the rest of the German SHIELD division, he could see them fighting smiles, and he really wished he'd learned German with the rest of the agents. At least then he could understand the shouts coming from his boss' office.

After what seemed like hours, Eva walked out, glaring at anything that had the nerve to move – Hell, even breath.

She was different.

And Coulson was utterly baffled.

Hazza! New story – oneshot, but still a story! This just popped into my head. I'm thinking about doing a multi-chap, showing Eva (Ayh Fuh) in her childhood through adulthood. If you want me too, review:3 Have a good morning/afternoon/evening/night!
