Amongst the ashes of charred memories

Burning away the remnants of humanity
Tortured for eternity, dead but dreaming

Swaying to the tune of a hearts lost beat
When darkness falls a cry goes up
To disappear into the bitter wind
A plea for mercy a call to the gods
Who no longer hear a demons call
Ruled by guilt
Consumed by Chaos
Reaching for an angel
That faded with the night
