As she finally lay in her bed, Marie could not get the image of what happened out of her head. "Who was that? And why did he want me dead?" She thought, a lot of questions going through her mind. She turned onto her side, suggesting that a little sleep will cure her worries. But her worries will soon grow.

It was morning in the town and Marie was walking around, occasionly going into a parlor or two. She finally spotted a cart that was selling tea. She realized she never drank anything since she arrived yesterday. She walked up to the cart, the woman looking at her. "Good morning, miss!" She said. "Would you like to buy some tea?" "Yes, I would. Thank you." Marie responded. As she was reaching for a dollar, she could feel someone bump into her. A male voice said, "Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't see you." She turned around to the voice and saw a white wolf with the most beautiful blue eyes she has ever seen on a person. "I-it's OK." She stuttered, clearly entranced by the boy's eyes. The boy gave a smile and went on his way. She stared at him as he walked on. "Miss?" The lady said at the cart. "O-oh! I'm sorry!" Marie turned back to the lady and gave her the money. The lady gave her the bag of tea with a smile. "Thank you for buying!" Marie nodded and was on her way to the mansion. Unaware that a pair of red eyes was watching from a nearby bush.

It was nightfall before she knew it. "I still have not delivered my letter. Father is probably worried." Marie said as she poured a cup of tea she bought this morning. Before she could drink any, a knock came from the door. "Hm? Now who would come here at this hour?" She said as she walked to the door. The person at the door was the most suprising. It was the boy again. "Hello again. I didn't introduce myself when I bumped into you." He stretched his hand out to her. "My name is Lucas." "My name is Marie." She said and shook his hand gingerly. "Would you like to come in? I have tea." She said, obviously trying not to be a idiot. "Thank you." He stepped into the mansion and was smiling. "Your house is really big. And it's very beautiful." Lucas said, admiring the interior. "Thank you." She sat down on the couch as he came and sat down aswell. She tried not to stare into his eyes again like before, but it was really hard not to. Lucas looked at her and said "Marie. Have you noticed some weird happenings around here?" His expression was very serious. "A little bit. Why?" She answered. He closed his eyes. "You must know then that this town is not normal. Even if you tried to say it is, it isn't." He opened his eyes again, his blue eyes seeming to be glowing. "It is... not normal? I don't really understand." Lucas looked at her and stood up. "I really must ask you to be safe then." He walked toward the door, his hand on the handle. "Before they come find you." Those were his last words as he walked out the door...
