Miss Perfect
"Have you ever seen anything so beautiful, Auggie?" asked Juliet as she looked at the sky.
"Nope I'm lookn' at the most beautiful thing in the whole world right now", but Auggie wasn't looking at the stars, but at his girlfriend Juliette. From the time she came into the art room and kissed him, his eyes have only been on her.
Jules caught his eye. "Your not even watching the stars, how do you know that they are beautiful?"
"I didn't say that stars were, I said YOU were. I still can't believe I have the prettiest girl." Aug said with a smile.
"Auggie, you are so sw-", but Juliette was cut off by her boyfriends lips. Every time Auggie kissed her she felt as if she were floating. She always wanted to float. The Cliffhanger girls even laughed at her for it. If they ever felt this way they would want to float all the time, too. Their lips finally broke apart, but not because they wanted to, but because they were being pulled.
It was Peter, "Hey you two, does this look like make-out point to you? Jules your mom is on the phone. When you are done come talk to me. I guess I have to remind you of a few rules."
Jules knew she was in trouble, but nothing could ruin this night. Not even a phone call from mother dearest, or so she thought.
"Mommy?"
"Juliette, this is Cindy, your mothers secretary. Your mother had to take a conference call while she was waiting for you. Can you hold for a few, I'm sure she will be right on."
"Sure, like I have a choice" Juliette said under her breath.
"What was that-" it was her mother.
"I said, I can't wait to hear your voice. That was a quick call, I thought I would have to wait for you longer."
"Well, I can't wait for you forever. I run a business
young lady. I don't play on mountains like you. So what took you so long, climbing another mountain?"
"Uh, no mom we had a morp, I mean pr-" Jules was cut off by her mother.
"Juliette, I don't have time to listen to your greatest adventure. I want to talk to you about that Auggie creature you were with. Haven't I taught you better that that. You have a reputation to uphold to, you are a Waybourne. Can't you do anything right! Not only are you over weight, but you have awful taste in boys, too. Whatever happened to that cute blonde boy you sent me pictures of?"
"Mom, I don't love Scott, I love-"
"Don't even say his name! Ted and I are going to be shooting a movie about 30 minutes away from that so-called-school of yours. By the time I get there you better not be seeing that Latino boy. I would like to see you back with that Scott boy. If you don't obey me I will bring you home. I will put you in that hospital before I leave you there to raise half-breeds. Do you understand me young lady?!"
There was no way of taking her out of it. She had made up her mind. "I HATE you mother" – with that Juliette hung up the phone.
What was she going to do? If she didn't do what her mother asked, she would have to face her everyday. That would be so hard, but it would kill her if she hurt Auggie. She began to walk down the stairs when she saw him, the love of her life. He had the greatest smile, but it melted away as soon as he saw her eyes. She could not look at him without having a huge pain in her chest.
Auggie saw her at the top of the stairs. She was crying, something must be wrong. Then she saw him, but she wouldn't look at him. What was that phone call about? Before he could ask her she ran past him.
By this time Peter had watched the entire scene. Peter and Auggie had the same thought "They had to get to Jules and quick."
