There where a lot of thing Kazuto learned from his experience in GGO, like how to fire a virtual gun, how to use a beam sword instead of a regular one, how some people still believed they were in the Laughing coffin guild. All useful things to know, and all turned out alright in the end, but he also learned some things about the phycology of some players, including himself.

Like why some male players enjoy playing as a female, or female looking, avatar.

He never understood that before, at least not with VRMMOs. In story line RPGs that weren't virtual reality, and or in a case where a female avatar just fit the story line better, sure he could understand that, but in any game? Especially games without a story line and were virtual reality so the person actually put themselves in the body of their avatar? No, until GGO, he couldn't understand why a male player would want to have a female or female looking avatar.

But now that he's experienced it, granted he didn't get any choice whatsoever in the avatar, and the avatar was just female looking not actually female, he understands.

Playing these games give a person a chance to be someone else, someone they couldn't or wouldn't ordinarily be IRL. He's known this since he first began playing MMOs, but where he typically only used his Kirito account, he never really truly known what people meant by it. He's only ever been either Kazuto or Kirito, depending on if he was IRL or not, and he very rarely used any other account than Kirito. Since before GGO Kirito only either looked like his real life self in SAO or fairy that still somewhat resembled his real life self in ALO, he truly has never been anyone but himself. And while that's not a bad thing, he now realizes he's never had the true VR gamer experience of being another person.

So he made a new account, one with a female avatar to ensure he would get the experience of being someone else, even if it's only while logged on to it. And he uses it about as much as he uses his Kirito account.

He tells his friends he's playing a new game when he's asked, but he can't remember the title, when really he's just using a second secret account on ALO.

He knows they probably won't care, and he has what he believes is a very good explanation for using the female avatar he made, but he's to embarrassed. Not to mention a little scared.

He knows for sure his sister would accept his choice, though she would never stop teasing him when she found out. Most the rest his friends probably wouldn't care either, since they had seen him use the female looking avatar during BOB, and again would just tease him endlessly. But then, he was so nervous about how Asuna would react, he loved her so much, and if she rejected him for this, he wasn't sure he could ever get over it.

So he kept it secret. After all, everyone was aloud one or two secrets in there life right? And this one was to help him grow as a person, to truly understand how other players minds work, how to be someone other than himself.

He had learned many things from GGO, but the best thing he learned from that game, to be someone else, was a lesson he could never bring himself to share...

Hey guys, so this is something I've been thinking about a lot recently after watcher SAO season two. And when I noticed an extreme lack of stories with Fem!Kazuto or Fem!Kirito, and an extreme lack of stories where Kazuto makes and or uses an account with a female avatar, I decided to write this. I think I'm going to try and write more fics with more genderbending type thing in them, or maybe an SAO Omegaverse, because I've noticed there aren't any Omegaverses for SAO at all yet.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this. I would love to hear what you think, so leave a review (please). Feedback is always great! Thanks for reading!
