thought

The girl sighed, brushing her aburn hair back from her face so she could see the paper in front of her. Oh this is pointless! she thought tapping her pencil impatiently against her desk.I need an inspiration!! For the past two hours, Sana Kurata had been stuck in her room attempting to write a review on a book she had read with her class. But, since her mother had been out 3 hours past the time she had SWORN to return, she hadn't been able to concentrate at all.

"Reeeeeeeeeeiiiii!" She called out for her manager. Moments later the reply came from outside her door.

"Yea?"

"Mama's STILL not home yet?"

"No she's not...but i wouldn't worry about it.. You know how she is. She can get distracted by the smallest things. I' m sure she'll be home soon. Get some sleep now OK?"

"Alright Rei. Good Night. See you tomorrow."

"Yep. See you tomorrow." He called out as he walked down the hall to his own room. Sana sighed again and smiled slightly. Rei's rightafter all. I've been worried for nothing this entire timeGlancing over at her paper and deciding that it was pointless to try again, she turned out the lights and fell asleep.

"Wow." Sana yawned and stretched. It feels great to wake up without an alarm for a change.I wonder what time it is? Opening her eyes and glancing over, she noticed something strange. There was sunlight streaming through her window. Wha.. She thought before realizing that Rei was talking quietly in the next room.

"Yes I understand. Thank you. I'll tell her when she wakes up. Thank you for your time."

"Rei, wha...?" She began as she entered the room. She stopped when she saw the look of sadness on his face.

"What's wrong? What happened?" She asked. At this, Rei began to cry quietly.

Sana... Mariko...Your Mother's dead.
