A/N: I do not own JJ or Hotch and the sonnet is William Shakespeare's

" Hotch!" JJ said, surprised when she answered the door. She didn't expect any visitors let alone her boss standing there in a leather jacket and jeans. "Come in!" She stepped to the side to let him in. " What are you doing here?" she asked.

" I... had another fight with Hayley and I got frustrated and I got in my car and I drove... Am I interrupting something?" he asked.

" No..." she replied, leading him into the living room. She gestured for him to sit on the couch. She went to the other end and sat horizontally, her legs bent close to her. " I was just relaxing... reading."

" What were you reading?" She handed him a small blue book with gold writing on the front. " ' The Sonnets of William Shakespeare.'" He looked at her with a raised eyebrow and a smirk on his face.

JJ playfully kicked him. " I read it when I was in college. I was rummaging though old books and I found it and I became nostalgic, alright?"

" Alright, sorry..." He began flicking through it. " So what's your favourite?" he asked, genuinely interested.

JJ blushed. " I don't really have a favourite."

" What are you not telling me?"

" Nothing..." she said unsurely.

" JJ!"

" Alright... I have no idea why I like this one so much... I don't even like the whole sonnet... just a few lines... That I memorised..."

" What are they?" he asked, keeping the book close to him and letting a mischievous smile play across his face.

" That's not fair..."

" I won't laugh... Promise!" He put his right hand to his chest.

JJ took a deep breath. " This is so embarrassing... Ok... ' No longer mourn for me when I am dead... Nay, if you read this line remember not the hand that writ it for; I love you so, That in your sweet thoughts I would be forgot If thinking of me then should make you woe. O if, I say, you look upon this verse, When I perhaps compounded am with clay, Do not so much as my poor name rehearse, But let your love even with my life decay' ... So just in case I go before you... just keep in mind I want that said at my funeral."

Hotch had never heard JJ speak like that before and surprised them both when he climbed up on top of her and kissed her gently. JJ responded by wrapping one arm around his neck and stroking his cheek with her other.

When the finally broke apart, Hotch rested his forehead against her and whispered in her ear, " I will never let you go before me..." He put his arm around her waist.

She turned to him with a smile on her face and kissed him again, this time climbing on top of him and undoing his pants.
