"Got any sevens?" Cortex asked N.Gin.
Cortex and his minions were playing a game of go fish. They all knew they should be thinking of a plan but they couldn't be bothered. The little orange bandicoot was the furthest thing from their mind.
"Go fish." N.Gin replied.
Cortex took a card out of the deck.
"Darn! An eight." He fumed.
He drew another card, this time a seven.
"Thank god." He said.
Tiny looked over his cards. It was his turn.
"Uh Cortex have nines?" He asked.
Then Uka Uka barged in.
"What the heck is this? Lazy minions playing a children's card game? You should all be ashamed of yourselves!" Uka Uka roared.
"We're sorry Uka Uka it's just…" Cortex began.
"I don't want to hear your pathetic excuses!" Uka Uka bellowed.
He summoned some power and used it to destroy all the cards.
"Hey that not nice!" Tiny exclaimed. "We were playing with those."
"I don't pay you slackers to sit around and act like schoolchildren!" Uka Uka bellowed.
" Actually Uka Uka, you don't pay us at all." N. Tropy contributed.
"Everyone SHUT UP!" Uka Uka bellowed. "You need to stop slacking off and get to work!"
They groaned and went back to the lab.
Uka Uka surveyed the room and saw a hungry hippo game, a twister mat and about 50 video game systems.
"No wonder they slack off." Uka Uka said, going back to his room.
At the lab Cortex was chewing on a pencil, unable to think of anything.
"Any ideas?" He asked N.Gin.
"Not that we haven't already tried." He replied.
Cortex resumed chewing on his pencil. How did that mask expect them to always have an idea. Eventually the ideas stop coming. Maybe Crash was just too good for them.
"Tiny smash cloning machine!!" Tiny roared.
"TINY NO!!" They yelled in union.
SMASH!
Too late.
Chapter 2 coming soon.
