Hello!! I haven't posted anything for a while so I thought I'd try this. It's actually my English homework, but it's an Eragon poem so I'd like to know what you think.
Eragon thinks of his feelings about Arya. Set after Eldest. Well, it could be anytime really, but I decided it's after Eldest. And I am dreadful at summaries. But moving on...
You can't know how much I love you,
My blood burns when I look at you,
I just can't control it,
I've surrendered my heart to you...
My eyes are drawn to you,
Like moths to a flame,
My ageless beauty,
Time cannot ravage you...
I see you walk beneath the trees,
Bathed in silver starlight,
My elven princess tall and fair,
Beautiful beyond compare...
You don't know how much I want,
To kiss your lips,
To caress your face,
To be with you forever...
But in those enigmatic pools that are your eyes,
I do not see reflected,
The love I feel for you so strong,
Princess of my heart...
I will always love you,
I know no matter what,
I'll always want you in my life,
My beautiful princess...
But I can never have you...
