*Time 9:45*
Shadow closed his eyes, and tried to think over all the talking from the party that was going on. He wanted to explore Ashville himself, but of course he had to stay with everyone else. He growled and frowned more, and Amy yelled about her and Sonic having a "relationship".
Why the hell am I even here? Shadow thought to himself. He walked out into the cool fall of Ashville North Carolina. He smiled at the half-quiet town, as everything was in sync. No obnoxious pink hedgehog, no Sonic, no one at all. Just Shadow and the streets.
Sonic rested his head on his hand, and Amy talked. And talked. And talked. And TALKED. He had a better chance of talking to Shadow, than shutting Amy up. Think where the ebony hedgehog could be, Sonic got up and went outside himself. He shivered at the cold, and looked around. Once he turned his head to the right, he saw Shadow stuck to a window. Sonic sped over, trying to see what Shadow was looking at. "Hey Shads, what're you-" Sonic looked up and saw a Big chocolate bunny, with strawberries as bows, and lemon flavored nose and eyes. "Wow Shadow, you're a sucker for chocolate?" Sonic joked. The other growled at him. "You are so mine…" Shadow drooled. Sonic laughed. "You want it?"
"Yeah. But I'm fine." Shadow went back to Leave-me-alone-or-I'll-fuck-you-up mode. "Aren't you supposed to give Amy a goodnight kiss?" Shadow asked, his back turned from Sonic. The blue hedgehog looked confused, until looking at a clock. "See you later then." Sonic ran back.
*Later, 11:27*
"I should head back…" Shadow said to himself. Sure he was having a bad day, and everyone else making it worse. "Well, what else could possibly happen?" All of a sudden, bright lights shone down on someone, Sonic.
Sonic had followed Shadow, after putting Amy to sleep. He put his arm over his eyes, and tried to look up. "Eggman." Both hedgehog's said at the same time. "HOHOHOHOHOHO! Prepare for your abduction, Sonic!" Eggman cackled. Sonic started to float, as one light shone upon him. All of a sudden, a figure jumped at Sonic, pushing him out of the light, and getting taken instead. Sonic could finally look up, and saw Shadow, before the coal colored hedgehog, was gone.
"Ugh… wh-where am I..?" Shadow asked himself, laying in a beige colored room, and in white sheets. He shot up looking around, and smelling chocolate cake. He felt different, and sick. The door opened and Sonic walked through. "Hey there sleepyhead." He sat on the bed. "How're you feeling?"
"Weak. Vulnerable"
Sonic blushed a bit. You are, aren't you? Sonic thought. He mentally hit himself. He's straight, he doesn't love Shadow.
"Well, I can help with that. Just rest, okay?" Sonic smiled. Which made Shadow frown. He looked at his wrists and found his power rings were gone. "Where are they….?"
"Eggman." Sonic replied.
"That was a rhetorical question." Shadow sighed, and got out of bed, stumbling a bit, and getting caught by Sonic. "Oh, uh, before Tails can make an alternative, which could take a while… I have to watch over you…. Heh…." Sonic said, putting Shadow back down on the bed. Shadow crossed him arms, and looked away. This is gonna be a looong ride. Shadow thought.
