I thought I'd give a rendition of how Babs would become Oracle in the YJverse. Artie has just "died" and the six of the leaguers are still in space.
The door hinges creaked as the man pushed it forwards. He put his head out and took a look around. There was no one in the corridor, as promised. He tiptoed out, careful to not wake other inmates in Arkham Asylum. Not his usual style, but the Batman's ignorance of his escape was vital to his plan. He had gone so far as to put a decoy back in his prison cell. It would be at least a day before he would be found to be missing.
Pushing his hair back and giggling softly, he silently slit the throat of the guard at the monitor station and opened the air vent next to the servers. Pushing the guard through, the escapee crouched and entered the vent, putting the grille back into place behind him.
He continued through the vent, pushing the guard's body, until he reached another opening, this time facing down – into the sewer system. Definitely not my style, he thought. Shrugging it off, he used the weight of the dead body to break open the shaft entrance, and let the body fall into the running water below.
Jumping in, the escapee struggled to stay afloat, gasping for air, until the sewage pipe opened into the river. Here, the current slowed, allowing him to swim in quick strokes to the opposite bank. Pulling himself up, he surveyed Gotham from a distance. This was it. His most elaborate plan after the murder of the boy blunder. This would earn him entry back into the Light.
This would be the Joker's newest masterpiece.
