I watched Spirited Away for probably the 50th time and came up with an idea. I KNOW it has been done before, but I hope not with my twist. If it has, I apologize, but I swear I didn't steal anyone's idea.

I hope you all enjoy it.

Reviews are always welcome and appreciated!

Disclaimer: I do not own Spirited away nor any of the characters. I do, however, own any characters that I decide to insert. Thank you.

"Chihiro."

Haku?

"Chihiro, wake up."

Is that you, Haku?

"Chihiro!"

Being shook by someone, Chihiro bolted up right in her bed, now awake. She could feel tears starting to form in her eyes, but she quickly wiped them away with her hands, trying to pass the act off as rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

"Chihiro, you over slept. Did you forget what today is?"

She looked up at the middle aged lady that stood next to her bed. She recalled that there was something important was happening today, but she couldn't remember what it was. Chihiro scrunched her nose in frustration

"Today is graduation."

Chihiro eyes widened. She remembered now. Today was the day that she graduated. She jumped out of bed and hugged the lady. "Yes. Yes it is." Chihiro whispered, too stunned to quite believe it fully.

The lady smiled at her. "Get your things together and come to the living room. Everyone will be waiting for you." She pried herself from Chihiro's grasp and went out the door, shutting it behind her.

Chihiro stood there for a moment looking around at her small room. White walls with a few photos of her family and a kitten calendar stuck to it over top of a desk that was across the room from her and her small metal frame bed. She turned to her left and walked over to the small dresser that was set up next to her bed. She opened her drawers and sifted through it to find a pair of jean shorts, a simple pink tank top, and some clean underwear. She stripped off her night gown and quickly got dressed. She then picked up a brush off of the top of the dresser and brushed out her chocolate brown hair that hung below her shoulder blades and fixed her bangs. She then took her purple hair tie, that she has had for years and has never stretched and worn out, and tied it back into a pony tail.

Now dressed, she turned to her bed. She got down on her hand and knees and pulled out a small suit case. She set it up on top of the bed and opened it. She packed in her little bit of clothes, her brush, and toothbrush. She was about to close the suitcase, when she remembered something.

She went over to the desk and moved it quietly out from the wall. She reached behind and picked up a spiral notebook. She dumped half of her clothes out of the suitcase, placed the notebook in, and then placed the other half on top, concealing it in a sandwich of clothes. She closed it, clicked it shut, and then picked it up heading for the door.

When out the door, she took a left and headed down a long hallway to the living room. When she rounded the corner, she was met with a sight that she wasn't expecting. There were a bunch of people waiting for her. Balloons floating in the air. A cake on a table. She felt herself fill with joy. What was happening was finally sinking in. She felt tears fall down her cheeks. She stood there not able to move.

Today was the day. After four long years, she was graduating. Graduating. The term didn't seem to fit. But she didn't care at this point.

Today, she was leaving.

Today, she would leave her prison.

Today, she would be free of this mental hospital, forever.
