School was out for spring break and everyone was ecstatic. They had a week and a half to relax and have fun in the slowly warming weather. Dib woke up at about 7:00 am to do some on field research. There had been a lot of storms lately and he wondered if there was any ominous thing that was causing it. The weather man couldn't explain it….probably because he was a terrible weather man….BUT he was none the less gonna figure out what was going on the atmosphere.
Dib pulled on his shirt after his pants and tip toes down the stairs and hall. He DIDN'T want to wake Gaz. (That was a 'NO REALLY!' moment.) His dad was already awake so he didn't have to worry about that. "Son? You're up early….what's the occasion?" Membrane asks his son as he drinks his coffee and Dib gets himself something to eat on the go. "Oh….I'm going to study the weather patterns…" Dib says as he grabs a water bottle from the fridge.
Membrane puts down his mug quickly. "You're studying real science! I'm proud of you son!" Dib runs by as his dad pats him on the head. "Thanks dad! See ya!" Dib runs out the house and sees how dark the sky was even at sunrise. Dib knew Zim couldn't do this…so he wasn't suspecting him at all…that green alien was too dumb to do something this smart.
Dib stops off at an empty section of the park and lays down the suite case. The lid pops open and two probes jump out onto the grass beside him. "I gotta hurry…It could storm at any time." Dib says out loud to himself as he takes his laptop out of his water proof carrying case. He clicks around on his desktop to open some random appliances and finally clicks on the radar program. The page opens up and blinking lights and graphs appear on screen. Dib was typing in codes and observing the atmosphere with his probes when he hears sudden footsteps coming up behind him.
Dib just ignores. He had to get this done before the storm started. "What are YOU doing here Dib-stink?" A high pitched voice exclaims from behind. Dib looks back and sees the green abomination staring/glaring at him in curiosity. "I should be asking you that Zim." Dib says turning back to his computer. "Really Zim I have no time for you right now. Go home and feed your cat thing or whatever….." Dib says while graphing some warnings in the area. "I KNEW IT!!!!" Zim yells suddenly causing Dib to jump and turn towards him. "??!" Zim frowns and points at Dib. "YOU'RE PLANNING SOMETHING AREN'T YOU!? I bet you're trying to harness the power of this storm to get me to leave and to stop my invasion!"
Dib stares in disbelief at Zim then looks back to his work. "That's stupid Zim. I mean yeah I'm smart but I can't control nature. No one can, not even you…the best we can do is-!" Dib is interrupted by his computer beeping out of control and a pop up warning. "LIGHTNING STRIKE IMINENT!?" Dib looks and sees where it was pinpointing where it would strike. "ZIM! MOVE!" Dib yells and pushes Zim. Just as he did lightning came down and struck him. Zim sees the human get struck as he rolls out of the way due to Dibs sudden reaction. "WHAT IN ALL OF-!?" Zim yells as he slows to a laying position. "He just……why did he……?" Zim gets up and curiously walks over, expecting to see the burnt remains of his human rival. "WHAT THE-!" Zim yells in surprise as he reaches the body.
"IT'S AN IRKIN! What happened to the Dib………aw well…who cares…." Zim says to himself as he inspects the unconscious Irkin. "hmm the Tallest must've sent back up. Hmm but they should know I don't need it…Ah well…" a screen comes in front of Zim. "Gir bring the ship around. We have an Irkin guest."
