Snow fell softly. It covered all – the ground, the castle, the trees – but none of this seemed to concern Moony who sat under a tree and diligently read a book, oblivious to the white flakes falling all around him. It was of no consequence that he sat on cold snow and that it gathered in his hair, melting unpleasantly when he swiped a hand through it. He was so deeply absorbed that he did not even see Padfoot approach.
Seeing a perfect opportunity and not one to waste it, Sirius crept up slowly and unexpectedly dropped onto Remus' lap. Remus was startled but even more so, annoyed that his reading had been interrupted.
Smiling mischievously, Sirius ruffled Remus' hair and, while the boy was distracted, cupped his cheek and kissed him lightly on the lips.
Remus gasped in surprise and hand rose to touch his lips. He stared wide eyed at Sirius who smiled back and winked. This caused Remus to blush profusely.
"What was that for?"
Sirius reached into Remus' hair and retrieved a sprig of leaves and white flowers. "Mistletoe."
"Sirius, you devil!" Remus threw his weight forward, pushing Sirius to the ground. But, Sirius, quickly getting his leverage, gained the upper hand.
So they rolled around, both covered in snow and panting from the exertion. Finally Sirius pinned Remus to the ground. He crowed with triumph.
Remus, defeated, lay complacently, his cheeks flushed and eyes shining.
Without warning Sirius stole another kiss from the parted lips, seeking the warmth inside.
Remus stared at him in disbelief, "And what was that for?"
Sirius smiled ruefully, "Do you even have to ask?"
