Put on your war paint
A sudden feeling rushed into me as I saw Gideon's robot leaving with Mable in it's robotic hands. I was mad, no, furious, at him. Why? First the Mystery shack, then my book, now my own sister? No, no he crossed the line. He can take my house, take my books, take my clothes, take anything he wants. But the minute he touches my sister,
He will pay.
I slowly went in the woods. I turned to face him.
It's now or never.
I jumped. I jumped and fell into the robot's eye. I landed on top of Gideon, knocking the robot down.
"Let go of my sister!" I said as I punched him.
"Never! I finally won this time!" We then switched positions and he was on top of me. He punched me repeatably.
Come on Dipper! Hang in there! For her!
The fight continued as I stood up and punched him in the gut. We took turns punching eachother, at least that what it seems since that seemed to be the pattern. That all ended when he climbed on top of me and punched me, hard. I gave him a glare for the 5 seconds he stopped. I stood up and blocked his punch. I then used his own fist to hurt himself. On the last punch it was so hard the robot's head started spinning. It spun and spun until it fell. I screamed for dear life. Who wouldn't? I saw Mable screaming beside me.
I could have saved her. She could have been at the cliff with Soos safe and sound.
She found mt gaze and I found hers. We gave each other a small, sad smile. We reached for each other and hugged for what seemed an eternity. The ground was coming closer. I closed my eyes, scared to feel the impact. I felt a wave of heat pass me.
This is the end, I guess.
I then heard the launching sound of a grappling hook. I ignored it, knowing it wouldn't do good. We started to slow down. I opened my eyes to see what Mable has done.
"Grappling hook! I told you it would come in handy!" She exclaimed.
"Mable that was amazing! I exclaimed back as we got to the ground.
"Not as amazing as you defeating that robot!" She said as she pushed me playfully. I felt like I was the hero. A true one. The ones that don't have superpowers.
"Hey my journal!" I moved a metal scrap to reveal the journal. Police sirens came. First Gideon claimed us the ones that hurt him. Then Gruncle Stan proved that he was the fraud. We were claimed heroes. When we got back to the shack, after we unpacked of course, fell asleep in peace.
Although, I could't shake off the feeling of someone watching.
