Once Chris had split the two "lovers" up Scarlett was surprised to find herself actually missing Max. Of course she didn't miss him constantly treating her as his minion. She hated that to be precise, but he was practically her only friend on the island. And she might have been slowly developing feelings for the purple haired boy.

Max on the other hand knew he was crushing on the redhead. Even though he knew that most of her compliments were sarcastic, he couldn't help but smile when she commented on his evil plans. Now that Chris had spilt them up, Max was really starting to miss his sarcastic sidekick.

Scarlett decided that she had to make sure that Max was okay now that they were separated. She thought about how dependent he was on her and began to worry. She snuck out of her team's tree house and began to her way over to the other team's cave.

Little did she know Max had the same idea, but his motive was slightly different. The only reason he was looking for Scarlett was because he well... missed her.

He was making his way over to where his old team was located when he heard footsteps coming towards him. There was no way he could see what or who was coming towards him, so he stopped moving all together causing Scarlett to crash into him. He let out a shriek as he felt a pair of thin arms wrapped around his shoulders, obviously as an attempt to keep the other person balanced. It didn't work. Max couldn't keep his own balance sending the two falling to the ground.

"Ouch!" Scarlett yelped as she fell. After hearing that voice, Max realized who had fallen on top of him.

"Sidekick?" He asked while pinned to the ground by the tall girl, "What are you doing out here?"

There was no way Scarlett was going to tell him the truth. "I was just out for a walk. What are you doing?"

Max's face turned a bit pink. Whether it was from embarrassment or from having his crush on top of him, he couldn't tell. "Um... I wasn't trying to find you, that's for sure!" He exclaimed while tilting his head up towards the girl. That was all the encouragement Scarlett needed. She smirked and quickly captured his lips with her own.
