''Here you go, Rei'' Kai walked up to his lover and dropped a box into his lap.

Rei looked up and smiled. ''But, it's not Christmas yet...''

Kai shrugged and the amber eyes lit up, like the yellow lights on their tree before his fingers tore at the green wrapping paper, adorned with a blue bow. The box was large and Rei felt spoiled as he opened it up and tossed aside the paper inside. A bright, red color met his anxious eyes and he pulled out the long contents that unraveled into a scarlet scarf and pooled onto his legs.

''Did you get your mom to make it?'' Rei grinned at him teasingly.

Kai pulled him up from the chair to stand and wordlessly, he began wrapping it around Rei's neck.

''It's so long.'' The head of raven hair looked downward at the scarf that slid down his body.

''Do you like it?'' Kai stepped in closer and smiled charmingly.

A yes was murmured against his lips before a gentle kiss thanked him.

There was still so much of the scarf left, dangling between them and as they were standing, so close together, Kai wrapped the other half around his neck. Now, they were joined by rings, laced by their fingers, and woven with the threads of their love.
