Percy Jackson and the Prophecy of the Lost

Percy sat on the sand of Long Island Beach, looking out over the dark green waves which rolled slowly into the sand. He wore no shoes, only a pair of cut off jeans, his Camp Half Blood t-shirt, and his camp necklace.

Maybe now I can finally get some time to just relax, He thought to himself.

Yeah that hasn't been happening much, Said an entirely different voice inside his head.

GROVER! Percy mentally screamed What have I told you, about randomly coming inside of my mind?

Sorry….Grover thought sheepishly. But it isn't really random, Mr. D and Chiron want you up at the big house.

Oh alright, Percy groaned mental But this better be good.

Yeah…Grover responded, before exiting Percy's thoughts.

Percy got up off the sand, brushed off his jeans, then started up to the Big House.

"Ah Persus." Chiron said as he entered, "How are you?"

"Fine." Percy said, "Whats up?"

"It seems…." Began Chiron, a little nervously.

"What?" said Percy, "Come on just tell me!"

"Well sometimes the Orcal….ah doesn't give us all of the information…" Percy was getting a bad feeling about this.

"What do you mean…?" he asked slowly.

"Oh just tell the boy!" interrupted Mr. D, who was sitting at his table drinking Diet Coke.

"Well…" began Chiron again.

"Oh fine, I'll tell Mr. Johnson myself. Apparently the Great Prophecy was actually only the First of the Three Great Prophecies."

"WHAT?" screamed Percy. He screamed so loud that his mothers apartment building, which was in New York City, trembled.

"Yes Percy. There are two more Prophecy's you must complete before you can rest. You'll need to do the standered preparation."

"Chiron, ARE YOU INSANE? The LAST prophecy almost got me killed about a hundred billion times! And then I get TWO WEEKS, and your back trying to tell me that I've got to go and save the world again? I am NOT going on another quest! EVER!"

"You don't have much of a choice seaweed brain." Said Annabeth Chase, popping into exsistence beside Percy. "I've already agreed to go."

"WHAT? No! Definetly not you! Annabeth, you almost DIED last time!"

"So did you."

"Yeah but, I'm…..well me!"

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"I DON'T KNOW!"

"Percy, look at me."

Percy turned to look into his girlfriend's eyes. They gazed at each other for a long moment. You could almost feel the heat of the battle they were having.

"Fine." Percy reluctantly agreed. "So who, besides you Wise Girl, are we taking?"

"After the war Zeus upped the number of people on a quest to five."

"So lets think. Annabeth, me, Grover, Nico…"

"The hunter's are coming to visit tomorrow." Annabeth said helpfully. "Artemis wants several upgrades on her cabin."

"So we can take Thalia!" Percy exclaimed.

"If the goddess permits it." Chiron reminded. "I think she will, though. She and the rest of Olympus are forever in your debt."

"Good point."

"So now, you must visit the Oracle." Chiron said with finality.
