A "Random Final Fantasy 7 Yaoi Pairing Generator" crackfic. How they really got out of the desert prison.
I had this all typed up and then I saved over it with shaken. Doy. But it's all better.
Holy
The boy lost, Dio thought, so it's not my problem. But be had been watching the race from his private balcony, luxuriating in the sensation of velvet against his bare skin, and he had seen how the bird was handling. Ester's chocobos were usually good enough that a smart rider could win, but once in a while she'd get a foul-tempered bird that not even the best jockey could control. This bird had certainly been one of them. It had bucked the blonde boy off at the starting line and taken off on its own, zigzagging across the track and wearing itself out within minutes.
Dio prided himself on being a fair. He knew the boy deserved another chance. But he also prided himself on being a businessman. And the scarlet velvet was really too nice to enjoy alone. So he sent one of his men down with a message.
Five minutes later, the boy was standing just inside the door to the balcony, shifting his weight uncomfortably.
"Please, sit down," Dio said, gesturing grandly.
The boy sat gingerly on the end of the chaise lounge that Dio was occupying, it being the only available furniture.
"I'm Dio, though I'm sure you already know that," Dio chuckled, holding out his hand.
"Cloud Strife," the boy said, taking his hand in a firm grip.
"Cloud, I want to make you an offer, " Dio said, studying the boy's musculature.
Cloud only nodded, focusing his attention completely onto Dio.
"There's something I want from you," Dio continued, "but there is no reason that this can't be a mutually beneficial transaction. Wine?"
Cloud shook his head, staying silent. Dio frowned and poured himself a glass of the nice red. He didn't trust a man who wouldn't drink, but he didn't need to trust this boy to get what he wanted.
"I'll let you and your friends go with a full pardon, but I need you to fo me a favor," Dio said, keeping his tone professional.
"Go on," Cloud said, his voice also even.
"You can say no right now, before I tell you the terms, and try your luck at the races again. It'll be a few days until the next one you can participate in, though, and of course you will have to stay in prison until then. But if you hear me out and then refuse, I'm afraid you'll be stuck there.
The blonde hesitated for a moment before leaning forward.
"Tell me," he said.
Dio grinned at the pretty picture he made, with his blue eyes reflecting determination and his mouth firmly set.
"Spend the night with me," Dio said. "One night, and you're free."
The boy stared at him, jaw slack and eyebrows raised. Dio was glad the boy hadn't taken wine; he probably would have dropped it and wine was a bitch to get out of gold carpeting.
"I, uh..."
"Take your time to think about it. There's no rush," Dio said, already knowing what the answer would be.
"No, I... I've decided," the boy said.
In the end, it hadn't been a full night. They hadn't even made it out of the balcony; Dio had simply pulled the curtains shut. The boy was very good, despite being inexperienced, and had a talented mouth for all that he didn't say much. When they finished, he gave Cloud a free night in the hotel, and let him leave.
In the morning, he sent the buggy too, despite the protests of his assistant. He wasn't using it, and the boy had certainly earned it.
